Victory in Saberhing Asteroid Belt

Moff Hasselstein's squadron of Gladiator-class star destroyers in defensive formation before the Saberhing shipyard facility.

SABERHING ASTEROID BELT - The Rebel insurgency was routed today in the Saberhing Asteroid Belt, where Moff Mikael Hasselstein personally oversaw the defense of the Imperial shipyard facility.

The Rebellion attacked the Saberhing shipyard facility, aiming to sabotage the sector fleets' capacity to maintain its vessels. The rebels were, however, awaited by Moff Hasselstein's personal fleet of Gladiator-class star destroyers, supported by a wing of TIE fighters and Interceptors.

The Empire's victory was complete. The shipyards remain unscathed, all the Imperial warships returned to berth without necessary repairs, and even all the TIE fighter squadrons returned to their hangars. Meanwhile the wreckage of the Rebel fleet fell into the orbits of the asteroid belt.

Imperial citizens of the Corellian Sector rejoiced at the news. Rumors had abound about a supposed Imperial setback in the Talfaglio system on the sparsely-populated outskirts of the sector. These rumors were dismissed as Rebel propaganda and lies. The Empire remains hegemonic in the Corellian sector.

War Continues to Rage in Corellian Sector; Imperial Navy Optimistic for Victory

Victorious, the Relentless and Interdictor, vessels of Moff Hasselstein's Sector Group Command, orbit Corellia, defending the world from Rebel incursion

CORELLIA SYSTEM - The forces of the Imperial Navy continue to safeguard the loyal citizens of the Empire in the Corellia system, as Rebel attacks are thwarted and Rebel outposts in the sector continue to be rooted out.

This was another proud day for the Imperial Navy. While courageously defending the sector capital of Corellia from barbaric Rebels under the command of Kiza Bætti, Imperial forces further put additional pressure on Rebel outposts on the Drall, also in the Corellian system, and in the Sacorria system.

The defense of Corellia has broadly been deemed a great victory for the Empire. Inhabitants of the sector's most populous world witnessed the disabling of a Rebel cruiser in their skies, as well as the wreckages of destroyed Rebel fighters raining down on their landscape. Though some losses were bitter, the Empire's loyal citizens can rejoice that the Imperial Navy kept them safe once more.

Meanwhile, as the Rebels attempted in vain to attack the Corellian system's beating heart, a line of Arquitens cruisers continued to seek the elusive Rebel outpost on Drall. According to Imperial Intelligence, the outpost's location will soon be discovered, as the cruiser line was met in orbit by Rebel vessels under the command of the infamous Rebel warlord, Mysh Theia.

At the cost of a single light command cruiser, the newly-minted Commodore Iago Yueh disabled numerous Rebel corvettes. The fighter losses are still being counted, but agents with the Commission for the Preservation of the New Order (COMPNOR) deem the results to be favorable.

By victoriously engaging Theia's forces, Imperial retribution has begun for her countless depredations against decent Imperial citizens. The COMPNOR agents have declared it as no accident that the force was lead by Yueh's flagship, the Hand of Justice, which shall return to Corellia for needed repairs.

The Imperial Navy further anticipates news from Sacorria, where another strike at a suspected Rebel outpost took place.

Imperial Navy Saves Planet Vagran From Rebel Incursion; Other Rebel Formations Detected

Damaged but victorious, Relentless arrives in orbit Corellia for repairs

CORELLIA SYSTEM - Moff Mikael Hasselstein saved Vagran from an attacking Rebel fleet, while other Imperial Navy lines have detected Rebel formations in orbit of Drall and in the Sacorria system.

Anticipating a Rebel attack in the Vagran System, Moff Hasselstein's fleet awaited the arrival of the Rebel formation near the system's single sun. Once Vagran's alert's sounded, the fleet executed a micro-jump to intercept the Rebel marauders.

Once the battle was closed, with the Imperial II-class Star Destroyer Relentless in the vanguard, the strategic analysts aboard Moff Hasselstein's flagship Interdictor discovered that they had encountered the fleet of Canth Walden.

Canth Walden is the war criminal responsible for the destruction of the Golan III defense station at Selonia - with all personnel on board - after its unconditional surrender.

Moff Hasselstein revenged those brutally murdered by the criminal Walden, as two of his vessels - Liberty and Walden's flagship Phoenix Home - were disabled, barely able to escape with their backup hyperdrives.

Relentless was grievously damaged, but was able to return to port at Corellia in order to undergo repairs.

Meanwhile, other Rebel formations were detected in the Sacorria system, but even in the Corellian system itself, at Drall, where a Rebel outpost was discovered. At Sacorria, the Rebels were discovered erecting a jamming barrier in order to prevent their and atrocities from being broadcast to the civilized galaxy.

Imperial Navy Thwarts Rebel Assault on Corellia

Ion cannon Coronet City, Corellia fends off Rebel assault.

CORELLIA SYSTEM - The Imperial Navy fought off a Rebel attempt to spread their terror to Corellia, while also discovering the location of a Rebel base in the Nubian system.

Taking command of the defense of Corellia, Moff Mikael Hasselstein faced down the infamous Admiral Theia, suspected to be the theater commander for the Corellian sector.

Key to the Imperial victory was leading the Rebel fleet into the field of fire from Coronet City's planetary ion cannon. The ion cannon installation crippled a number of Rebel corvettes, including the fleet's flagship carrying Admiral Theia herself.

The citizens of Coronet City and elsewhere on the planet rejoiced as the Navy protected them from the cruel barbarity for which Theia has become renowned.

Patrol of light cruisers over Nubia.

Meanwhile, the Imperial Navy scored another victory when a naval patrol uncovered a Rebel base on Nubia, in the Nubian system. The patrol, made up of a line of light cruisers, faced a number of large Rebel vessels. These had been found skulking in the Nubia system, doubtlessly attempting to protect the Rebel base.

The discovery of the Nubia base makes destruction of the Rebellion in the Corellian sector inevitable. Not only will the Imperial Navy aim to soon dispose of the Rebel presence on that world, but Nubia's own citizens are certain to reject the presence of these vile insurgents in their midst.

News of Corellia and Nubia further coincided with reports of a Rebel naval presence in the space near Selonia, the Corellian system's fourth world. The hope is that the Navy's fledgling commander will be able to hold off the Rebel incursion there.

Empire Grants Ryloth Autonomy

Planet Ryloth

RYLOTH SYSTEM - Amid a descent into violence in the Gaulus sector, and removing insurgent and criminal threats from the Ryloth system, the Empire has granted Ryloth autonomy. Donalo Fortuna elected planetary governor.

Despite the many benefits and belevolence the Empire has showered on the planet of Ryloth and the Twi'lek people, the denizens of this alien world voted for autonomy from the Empire, electing the Coruscant real-estate developer Donalo Fortuna planetary governor.

The vote happened amid spiraling violence between insurgent rebel forces and criminal cartels elsewhere in the sector. Beyond this insurgent-on-criminal skirmishes, there was also much internecine conflict between Rebel and cartel factions, demonstrating the lack of coherence within different Rebel and cartel groups. In the midst of this tug-of-war between cartels, insurgents and different factions, Imperial Navy assets kept Ryloth free from hostile invasion.

Coruscant developer Donalo Fortuna, ReadJunk

As ingrate aliens, however, the Twi'leks of Ryloth voted for autonomy, which the Emperor has graciously granted them. Imperial forces will depart Ryloth, leaving the responsibility for maintaining law and order to local forces.

Reimposing law and order on the Gaulus sector will be a tough task for Governor-elect Fortuna, as Rebels have usurped control over the nearby Pelgrin system, while the Wrea, Dalchon, and Gaulus systems have become battlegrounds for factional infighting between and within Rebel gangs and criminal cartels.

Particularly the Wrea system at the very end of the Corellian Run hyperspace trade route has fallen under the sway of the Scum Lord Stason Joltz, operating far from his lair at Junkfort Station.

With developer Donalo Fortuna taking charge of governance on this Outer Rim world, analysts expect deals to be made with criminal cartels in order to keep Ryloth, and eventually the Gaulus sector, free from Rebel influence. According to critics, Fortuna is merely the puppet of a shadowy criminal cartel led by an unknown crime lord from even farther out of the Outer Rim.

Investors on Scipio have seen Ryll futures plummet. Ryll is a precious ore harvested from the mines of Ryloth. It has military and scientific applications, but can also be used as a narcotic.

Turmoil Returns to Tharin Suolriep sectors: Renegade Faction Attacks Rescue Mission

Raider-class corvette Dominatus sporting the emblem of the 'Rifts Coalition'.

SRILUUR - An Imperial patrol consisting of a Raider-class corvette and escorts were attacked near the Boonta system by what appears to be a renegade faction using Imperial vessels.

Answering a distress call from a disabled Gozanti cruiser, the patrol formation sent from the Imperial naval garrison on Sriluur was ambushed by Imperial-style military craft emblazoned with a humanoid skull and crossbones emblem with sable background.

According to retrieved footage from the wreckage of the patrol vessel, the sable-colored vessels belong to a renegade faction titling themselves the 'Rifts Coalition'.

The devices and paint scheme match those of forces that secured the Boonta system from the Rebel insurrection two months ago. The Boonta system was the first world to be held against Rebel forces during the Tharin campaign.

The Boonta system lies in the Suolriep sector adjacent to the Tharin sector, which remains a haven for criminal syndicates. Situated at the crossroutes of the Lesser Lantillian Route and the Salin Corridor. It is predominantly inhabited by humans and Hutts from nearby Hutt Space.

The forces responsible for Boonta were led by an eccentric commander known as Chaplin Vici, who is reputed to wear a headdress made from the pelt of a small orange canine. It is now believed that these forces once responsible for Boonta's security have turned on the legitimate galactic order.

Analysis of the wreckage found near the Boonta system suggest that the two Raider-class corvettes, one from the rescue mission and one from the Rifts Coalition renegades, were destroyed. The Gozanti cruiser, nor matching wreckage were located. It is believed the surviving renegades repaired the cruiser and forced its crew to return them to Boonta at blasterpoint.

Regional authorities vow to bring the Boonta system back into the Imperial fold and to bring the renegades to Imperial justice.

Charis Naboobo Victor of the Battle of Sy Myrth

Swarms of Rebel-operated Corellian Corvettes before the command tower of an Imperial-class Star Destroyer during the heat of the Battle of Sy Myrth.

SY MYRTH SYSTEM - A large battle took place in the Sy Myrth system of the Jospro sector. The Empire won a hard-fought victory against many infamous Rebel warlords, thanks to the heroics of one of its finest: Commodore Charis Naboobo.

The Battle of Sy Myrth happened in a strategic location along the Triellus Trade Route and the Salin Corridor in the Jospro sector. Holding the Sy Myrth system is considered key to stemming the tide of Rebel incursions, while the campaign for the Tharin Sector continues.

While many Imperial commanders fell to the hateful Rebellion, one Imperial hero stood above all the rest. Commodore Charis Naboobo proved to uniquely capable of holding off some of the Rebellion's abominable leaders, such as the warlord Lyraeus, who has proven to be a scourge against all that is good in the Emperor's galaxy, but in particular in the Calamari Sector, which took months to pacify.

Other Rebel leaders present were the vicious Admiral Theia, whose history of inhumane atrocities make hardened Imperial veterans recoil with revulsion, and the warlord Iskander, who wields a monstrous reign in the Western Reaches of the galaxy.

With the system being barely held in check by Commodore Naboobo - also known as the hero of the Colundra Sector - the Emperor is deemed certain to reward the Commodore with a well-deserved promotion.

Battles Erupt Across Tharin Sector

The Tharin Sector

BOONTA SYSTEM - The Rebellion and criminal syndicates challenged Imperial control along the Triellus Trade Route in a number of dastardly strikes against the legitimate maintenance of law and order.

In a surprise attack in the Junkfort system, the Rebellion captured space superiority around the system's main space station. Imperial patrols were away from their defensive posts at the time, attempting to secure hyperlane nodes in the Boonta, Sriluur, and Taskeed systems.

In their efforts to combat the insurrection of anarchy and criminality, the Empire opted to focus their attention on the Boonta system. The Boonta system lies coreward of Tharin in the neighboring Suolriep sector, at the crossroutes of critical hyperlanes in the region. The local inhabitants praised the Empire for their heroic efforts on behalf of protecting them from the dual threats of the Rebellion and criminal syndicates.

Unfortunately, the Empire's focus on the Boonta system also resulted in Rebel victories in the Sriluur and Nimat systems. According to reports from the Imperial Security Bureau (ISB), no sooner had the Rebellion taken command of those systems with their fightercraft, that they fell out into disparate factions, warring between themselves. The ISB reported this as being 'typical behavior' for Rebel and syndicate factions.

Among Imperial formations some friendly fire was exchanged, but was categorized by the ISB as 'perfectly healthy rivalry' between Imperial flight commanders hoping to demonstrate their prowess and loyalty to the Emperor.

Mon Calamari Laying Mines in Space Lanes; Imperial Navy Intervenes

Mon Calamari Cruiser laying space mines along Minntooine Spur

MINNTOOINE SYSTEM - After hard-fought battles, the Imperial Navy halts Mon Calamari effort to lay more space mines in hyperlanes.

After one minor setback, a battle line of Imperial Navy vessels was able to navigate its way through a Rebel minefield in order to destroy two large mine-laying cruisers. The cruisers in question were placing mines along the Minntooine Spur in an effort to solidify the Calamari sector's isolation from galactic law and civilization.

Capital-scale Proximity Mine deployed along Minntooine Spur

The mine-laying activities come after the Rebels' perverse attempt to carve out the Calamari Sector from Imperial-controlled space, ostensibly in order to create a zone of Rebel control, where the few human inhabitants can be oppressed by alien overlords.

Space mines have been deemed illegal as inhuman objects of war. Such indiscriminate devices plague innocent civilians for centuries after the wars during which the mines were laid have been settled. The Rebellion's use of space mines is deemed unconscionable by reasonable Imperial citizens throughout the galaxy.

"That the Mon Calamari should stoop to the use of these weapons is truly disheartening," Mr. Prop Agandist, spokesman for the Commission for the Preservation of the New Order (COMPNOR) told HNN reporters. "Some day, long after the denizens of the Dac system have come to see the light that their misguided leaders have turned them away from, those mines will still be adrift in the space lanes of the Outer Rim, a deadly hazard to civilian shipping. The blood of all those innocent future deaths will be on the hands of the current Rebel leadership."

Rumors of Grand Theft Starfighter Patently False

TIE fighter, a TIE Advanced Prototype, and a TIE Defender engages in war games.

PAKUUNI SYSTEM - The Imperial NAvy once again effortlessly prevented would-be thieves from stealing state-of-the-art space superiority fighters from the Pakuuni Sector Group special fighter garrison on Pakuuni proper.

With the space superiority fightercraft of the Empire clearly outclassing the aged and obsolete fightercraft flown by the Rebellion, demand for such vessels the black market are driving a high price for any that might possibly be stolen. Thankfully, the Empire has them under such high security that any attempting such heinous larceny are caught and incarcerated long before they even have the chance to lay eyes on such specialized hardware.

No larceny has taken place, and any imagery of active-fire combat between line starfighters and the specialized space superiority fighters that has been captured depicts training exercises between loyal Imperial starfighter pilots.

COMPNOR spokesman Agandist

Nevertheless, seditious rumors abound that attempts to to take control of such specialized craft have succeeded and that villainous cartels have come in the possession of such TIE craft. These rumors are, however, patently false and any spreading such falsehoods make themselves liable for prosecution.

"No state-of-the-art vessels were stolen from the Pakuuni Garrison," Mr. Prop Agandist of the Commission for the Preservation of the New Order (COMPNOR) told HNN reporters.

When disloyal reporters pressed Mr. Agandist further on the matter, he replied with "all lies," as the disloyal reporters were taken into custody by the Imperial Security Bureau (ISB).

meanwhile, occasional skirmishes against the treasonous Rebellion continue to take place, with rebel starfighter groups summarily being defeated even by TIE/sa Bomber craft, whose primary mission profile is against capital vessels, rather than starfighters.

Triellus Patrol Destroys Vessel Suspected of Carrying Fugitive Former Senator

The Imperial-class star destroyer Bombastic

DENNOGRA SYSTEM - A naval patrol line operating along the Triellus Trade Route encountered and destroyed a group of Rebel vessels suspected of carrying the fugitive former senator, Mon Mothma of Chandrila.

The Rebel convoy was surprised by the Imperial patrol line consisting of the Imperial-class star destroyer Bombastic flanked by two Gladiator-class star destroyers and accompanied by a wing of TIE Bombers. Operating smaller vessels, including Corellian corvettes and Calamari frigates, the Rebels were outclassed by the larger vessels and TIE squadrons.

Rebel traitor, former Senator Mon Mothma of Chandrila

The corvette suspected of carrying the self-styled leader of the Rebellion was caught attempting to dock with a space station in the Dennogra system. According to reports, she was attempting to desert her seditious followers besieged in the Calamari sector.

Space-borne stormtroopers are examining the wreckage of the destroyed Rebel vessels, confident they shall retrieve the remains of the scofflaw former senator.

Senator Mon Mothma spent her last days in the Imperial Senate attempting to undermine the efforts of Emperor Palpatine to create a galaxy safe for humanity. When she could not convince the loyal citizenry of the Empire of her traitorous cause, she betrayed that same citizenry and formed the Rebellion together with the nepotistic Senate delegation from Alderaan.

Adm. Kendal Ozzel

The Imperial commander, Commodore Kendal Ozzel, engineered an expert ambush into which the Rebels were unable to avoid falling.

Commodore Ozzel - a rising star in the Imperial Navy - is renowned for being as agile as he is clever. His signature maneuver is to leap his vessels into the fray of naval combat, taking his enemies by surprise as he unleashes offensive firepower onto their hapless starships.

This was the fate of the senator's corvette as it attempted to flee the scene, leaving her followers to face the turbolasers of the Imperial star destroyer without even her faithless leadership.

Deep Space Patrol Destroys Armed Rebel Transport

TIE interceptors flying by discovered Corellian corvette debris. Image source

TOONG'L SYSTEM - A deep space patrol encountered and destroyed an armed Correllian transport affiliated with the Rebellion beleaguered in the Calamari sector.

Responding to an alert from a deep space patrol operating in the Toon'l system of the Jubilar sector, Imperial Navy forces have discovered the remnants of a pitched battle in space. The combatants included the vessels of the deep space patrol and Rebel elements seeking to escape the Calamari blockade. The patrol destroyed a Corellian CR90 corvette and several escort fighters. All the vessels of the patrol were, regrettably, also destroyed.

While the loss of the vessels of the patrol is a sacrifice for the families of the crews, pilots and officers who went down with their vessel, the Imperial Navy considers the battle a success. With the Rebellion being vastly outnumbered - due to the Empire having vast numbers of loyal volunteers in their ranks, while the Rebellion numbers a handful of malcontents - such even-numbered casualty figures are a clear sign the Empire remains ascendant. Furthermore, the battle is evidence that a Rebel attempt to break through the blockade through a 'back door' was discovered, and measures will be taken to block the leak.

According to the Imperial Security Bureau (ISB), the attempted escape from the Calamari sector may also be evidence that the Rebellion is in turmoil and small groups are deserting the Rebellion and opting to slip away into obscurity in the Outer Rim. These individuals would seem to prefer the life of a fugitive to the fate of certain death that awaited them were they to remain with the Rebellion.

Deep space patrols have been dispatched to numerous systems in the Jubilar and Shadola sectors. These sectors lie between the Calamari sector and the hyperlanes of The Slice, where the Rebellion could attempt to escape from the blockaded sector. Meanwhile drills continue to take place in regional locations such as the Lantillian system, in order to prepare Imperial pilots to do their just duty in defense of the Empire.

Rebel Ambush in Outer Rim Thwarted

An attack line of Gladiator-class Star Destroyers

SKEEBO SYSTEM - Enforcing the continued blockade of the Calamari sector, an attack line of Gladiator-class star destroyers encountered and destroyed several rebel vessels in the Skeebo system.

While patrolling systems trailing of the Calamari sector, an attack line of three Gladiator-class star destroyers supported by Raider-class corvettes was ambushed a by a line of rebel vessels. The rebel craft were summarily destroyed with only two survivors making the escape to hyperspace.

One of the escaping rebel corvettes is judged to not have been hyperspace worthy and is suspected of having been destroyed moments after the hyperdrive was engaged.

The skirmish comes not long after the Imperial Navy successfully blockaded the Mon Calamari sector, where the Rebellion has been isolated on their traitorous worlds. The fleet ambush, believed to have been intended for cargo vessels, is a sign that the Rebellion has turned to desperate piracy for resources. The Rebellion's mistake was to ambush an Imperial attack line, which they had no hope of defeating.

COMPNOR spokesman Agandist

Mr. Prop Agandist, spokesman for the Commission for the Preservation of the New Order (COMPNOR) spoke to HNN reporters:

"Now that they have been essentially defeated, the Rebellion is forced to engage in deplorable measures to maintain itself. According to the Imperial Security Bureau, they are not even primarily attacking vessels for resources, but simply to strike terror in shipping companies plying their trade on the edge of the Outer Rim."

"This is about intimidating innocent civilians and forcing local planets to seek trade with the Calamari Sector, rather than depend on shipments from the Core Worlds."

Empire Interviewing for Bounty Hunters: Some Found Wanting

Two Bounty hunters that proved themselves unworthy

LANTILLIES SYSTEM - The Imperial Navy, seeking to hire insurgent recovery agents to hunt down Rebels outside of the Calamari Sector, has tested the capabilities of potential contracting parties. Being tested by Imperial Navy fighter pilots, many bounty hunters were found wanting.

In a number of "try-outs", several bounty hunter couples were defeated by Imperial patrol units, similar to the type used against the Rebellion and criminal cartels in last year's Arkanis Campaign.

Thankfully for the bounty hunters, they fared better against the Rebellion than against their Imperial would-be employers. In one action along the Perlemian Trade Route, the bounty hunters destroyed a rebel smuggling vessel escorted by A- and B-wing fighters.

Elite Imperial pilots were unimpressed as they engaged in exercises between Royal Guard TIE interceptors and new-style TIE fighters while being observed by high-level Imperial tacticians and intelligence officers observing aboard a VT-49 Decimator and a Lambda-class shuttle.

The failed "action interviews" with the bounty hunters lays bare a long-standing dispute between adherents of former Moff Dzon Brennin's strategy of employing Special Operations Units and the Intragalactic Brotherhood of Bounty Workers (IBBW), the galaxy-wide bounty hunting union.

Those arguing on behalf of the so-called 'Brennin doctrine' of using VT-49 Decimators alongside highly maneuverable space superiority fighters argue that the demonstrated superiority of the Navy. The Bounty Workers Brotherhood dispute the point, arguing that bounty hunters are not contracted to attack the military, but to engage terrorists and insurgents, whose tactics and vessels are inherently different than military units.

Speaking anonymously on behalf of the naval partisans, one officer commented, "we don't need that scum," referring to the bounty hunters.

Incensed by the officer's statement, IBBW-representative Bossk expressed his dismay to HNN, saying "That'sss hurtful."

Dac Sector Contained Through Stalwart Naval Action

The Imperial Navy stands guard on the edge of Calamari space, containing the Rebellion and disloyal alien species.

RUISTO SYSTEM - Thanks to swift action by the Imperial Navy, the outbreak of lawlessness and Rebellion has been contained to the Dac system, where the alien species - the Quarren and the Mon Calamari - have thrown their destiny in with the treasonous Rebellion.

Employing the 'Motti Doctrine' of more hulls against fewer numbers, the Imperial Navy recently assaulted the Dac system in order to demonstrate the overwhelming capacity of the Imperial Navy and deter any further outbreak by the Rebellion into the more civilized sectors of the galaxy.

Engaging the Rebellion with overwhelming numbers, the Imperial Navy has isolated the Rebellion, as well as their Quarren and Mon Calamari supporters in the Calamari Sector.

The recent action in the Calamari Sector has largely gone unnoticed by the Imperial citizenry, which goes about their daily lives unhampered by the vile treason of the Rebellion. Because of the brave action of the officers, crewers, and pilots of the Imperial Navy, the loyal subjects of the Emperor can sleep easy and put the rough edges of the Outer Rim out of their minds.

Moff Dzon Brennin

Moff Dzon Brennin, architect of the containment policy, has been recalled to Imperial Center on Coruscant with the personal escort of Lord Darth Vader.

The Emperor is rumored to be considering a new position for Moff Brennin, a former Imperial Intelligence officer and hero of the pacification of the Arkanis Sector.

According to Imperial Palace insiders, Moff Brennin is due to be sent to the Unknown Regions in order to establish relations with the various aliens in that uncharted segment of space, and may never be heard from again.

Imperial Navy in Incident With Mandalorian Law Enforcement

Imperial Raider-class corvette

MANDALORE SYSTEM - A line of the Imperial Navy came into conflict with Mandalorian Law Enforcement over Raider-class corvettes surpassing a local velocity regulation.

The incident took place near the moon of Concordia, where the Mandalorian government imposes tightened regulations due to past differences with violent exiles on that moon. According to the Mandalorian Patrol, the local space-borne law enforcement agency, the Raider-class corvettes surpassed the maximum-allowed spatial velocity.

The Mandalorian Patrol, with a noted reputation for trigger-happy officers, engaged ships from the small flotilla of Imperial Navy ships, as these moved near a space station orbiting the Concordian moon. Flying Firespray-31-class attack craft, they unleashed concussion missiles against the Imperial vessels. Two vessels were lost in the attack.

Rather than escalate a hostile diplomatic incident, the Imperial craft chose to withdraw rather than engage the attack craft. The Line Captain in charge of the flotilla further disputed the charge, arguing that without special engine technicians the corvettes in question could never have reached the speeds the Mandalorian authorities allege.

The Emperor is expected to send His top diplomat to Mandalore to address the situation. Once Lord Vader has seen to a private family matter that arose after the recent attack on a rebel base in the remote Hoth system, he will doubtlessly express his concern to the Mandalorian authorities.

Rebel Attempts to Probe Imperial Lines Once Again Fail

Rebel freighter in futile escape attempt

MINNTOOINE SYSTEM - The Imperial Navy, operating together with the Imperial Security Bureau, has once again thwarted Rebel attempts to probe Imperial lines blockading the Calamari sector.

The Imperial Security Bureau (ISB) anticipated further futile attempts to flee the unremarkable corner of the galaxy in which they are besieged. As a result, TIE Fighter patrols, guided by ISB agents in stealth craft, were able to intercept two separate elements of Rebel craft attempting to quit the sector.

"It really is useless to resist," one ISB agent told an HNN correspondent embedded with the naval formation protecting the Minntooine system. "We have them bottled up, and we can anticipate all their attempt to break out."

"These rebels shall inevitably brought to Imperial justice - either through capture or..."

"...through ways that are more costly in tibanna gas than legal representation."

Asked about seditious rumors that the Rebel pilots had attempted to surrender before being shot down, the agent chuckled, "There was some message over the comm, that said something like 'remat...!' before it was destroyed. If that was an attempt to surrender, it did not follow the proper protocols."

The case in question flew a Corellian YT-2400 freighter with illegal weaponry while escorting a K-Wing style bomber. In addition to the heavy weaponry aboard the freighter, the K-Wing carried a payload of weapons of mass destruction, doubtlessly intended for the citizens of Minntooine, recently liberated from the Calamari scourge.

"Thank goodness for the Imperial Navy and ISB!" some local citizens said without any coercion whatsoever.

Rebel Escape from Calamari Sector Thwarted

A TIE Fighter patrol in the Minntooine asteroid belt

MINNTOOINE SYSTEM - Imperial patrols have caught Rebel fighter elements attempting to escape blockaded Calamari sector. The Imperial Security Bureau (ISB) takes it as evidence that the Rebel rank-and-file realize their cause is doomed.

TIE Fighter patrols have encountered sundry rebel fighter elements attempting to break through Imperial lines along the Minntooine Spur. The Minntooine Spur is a trade route connecting Dac, the Mon Calamari and Quarren homeworld with the Minntooine system where the Giblim Route connects the Calamari Sector to the Tion Cluster.

Having captured a rebel operative after the occupation of Ruisto, the ISB learned of demoralization among the Rebel fighter pilots. Doubtlessly, this despondency arises from the blockade that makes their cause hopeless and their appointment with Imperial judgement nigh. The Rebels even attempted to kill their former confederate in a strike against the vessel carrying the captive to the ISB station on Minntooine.

The naval blockade of the Calamari Sector

The captive was 'persuaded' to disclose the intelligence that the demoralized rebel squadron aimed to break through Imperial lines in order to desert their posts and escape the blockade. In order to prevent the escape, and to bring these deserters from the Rebel cause to justice, the ISB dispatched an agent to take charge of a TIE patrol flight.

The escaping flight of Rebel fighters, consisting of an A-Wing, and B-Wing and a new style of X-Wing fighter were tracked down and attacked. Imperial justice was swiftly meted out without the waste, fraud and abuse of the Old Republic legal system, when the TIE patrol led by ISB Agent efficiently destroyed them, leaving their remains among the asteroids as a warning to other Rebel pilots of their destiny.

Empire Seizes Control of Dac's Neighboring Systems

Crushing defeat of the command vessel belonging to the traitor Captain Phendan Brelan

RUISTO SYSTEM - In a glorious offensive, the Imperial Navy has conquered three systems in the Calamari sector, and now stands on the verge of capturing the Mon Calamari homeworld itself. The Rebellion is projected to be crushed within the coming weeks, driven back into the shadows after it loses the shipyard facilities in the Dac system.

Despite early setbacks in the Reginard system the day before, the Empire's star destroyers destroyed nearly all resistance before it, as it captured both Reginard and Ruisto, taking control of the Overic Griplink hyperroute.

At Reginard, both the notorious warlord Lyraeus and the uterly reprehensible Admiral Theia put up a defense of the system. The following day, Lyraeus appeared to have quit the field of battle, leaving Theia to hold Reginard on her own. In this she proved unsuccessful as one Imperial line drove her from Reginard and another from Ruisto. In a desperate attempt to save her infamous status within the ranks of the rebellion, she attacked her own Rebel cohorts.

Behind the front lines in the Dellalt system, meanwhile, several Imperial lines skirmished with one another during maneuvering and firing drills. The recent hard-won victories there provided the commanders, crews and pilots with ample amounts of debris fields in order to offer them challenges and prepare them for more combat.

A more stalwart resistance was put up by another Rebel commander - a vile traitor to the Empire. Line Captain Phendan Brelan was once considered a courageous and skillful wing commander in the Imperial Navy before his fall from grace. Now he suffers the hatred of millions of former comrades-in-arms and the disdain of billions of loyal Imperial citizens. He paid for his betrayal early when he was driven from Ruisto. In his cowardly flight from the front line, he fled through the Dac system to the Minntooine system. Regrettably his arrival there gave a momentary pause to another Imperial naval assault along the Giblim Route into the Calamari sector.

Fortunately, Captain Brelan's efforts proved to be futile in the face of the unstoppable Imperial advance as other Imperial commanders destroyed Brelan's Rebel confederates. The Rebel resistance was crushed on Minntooine, liberating it from their anarchic scourge. Among these was Commodore Naboobo, the hero of the Colundra system, who had routed a disorderly band of rebels.

Meanwhile, the Imperial Security Bureau (ISB) reports of internecine skirmishes behind rebel lines. This is doubtlessly the effect of military losses triggering a power struggle within rebel ranks. The galaxy will breathe a sigh of relief when the Rebel menace has been lifted from the Outer Rim, and their alien cohorts brought under subjugation.

Empire Takes Control of Dellalt; Begins Rebel Sweep

Flight of TIE Bombers escorted by an element of TIE fighters encountering Rebel fighters in the Dellalt system

DELLALT SYSTEM - Elements of TIE Bombers and TIE Fighters sweep through the reaches of the Dellalt system, eradicating the rebel presence, while fleet prepares for assault.

After the Imperial Navy drove a Rebel command ship from the Dellalt system two days ago, Imperial fighter and bomber squadrons have engaged in patrols aimed at eradicating the rebel presence from the system.

One flight consisting of three TIE bombers escorted by two TIE fighters encountered Rebel resistance in one outlying region of the system. The Rebel fighters were eradicated at the cost of the TIE flight's leader.

According to the flight's second-in-command, RQ-04-2, the Rebels specifically targeted the flight leader during their encounter.

"They went right for him, firing their rockets at just Four-One," RQ-04-2 said, referring to flight leader RQ-04-1.
