Charis Naboobo Victor of the Battle of Sy Myrth

Swarms of Rebel-operated Corellian Corvettes before the command tower of an Imperial-class Star Destroyer during the heat of the Battle of Sy Myrth.

SY MYRTH SYSTEM - A large battle took place in the Sy Myrth system of the Jospro sector. The Empire won a hard-fought victory against many infamous Rebel warlords, thanks to the heroics of one of its finest: Commodore Charis Naboobo.

The Battle of Sy Myrth happened in a strategic location along the Triellus Trade Route and the Salin Corridor in the Jospro sector. Holding the Sy Myrth system is considered key to stemming the tide of Rebel incursions, while the campaign for the Tharin Sector continues.

While many Imperial commanders fell to the hateful Rebellion, one Imperial hero stood above all the rest. Commodore Charis Naboobo proved to uniquely capable of holding off some of the Rebellion's abominable leaders, such as the warlord Lyraeus, who has proven to be a scourge against all that is good in the Emperor's galaxy, but in particular in the Calamari Sector, which took months to pacify.

Other Rebel leaders present were the vicious Admiral Theia, whose history of inhumane atrocities make hardened Imperial veterans recoil with revulsion, and the warlord Iskander, who wields a monstrous reign in the Western Reaches of the galaxy.

With the system being barely held in check by Commodore Naboobo - also known as the hero of the Colundra Sector - the Emperor is deemed certain to reward the Commodore with a well-deserved promotion.

Dac Sector Contained Through Stalwart Naval Action

The Imperial Navy stands guard on the edge of Calamari space, containing the Rebellion and disloyal alien species.

RUISTO SYSTEM - Thanks to swift action by the Imperial Navy, the outbreak of lawlessness and Rebellion has been contained to the Dac system, where the alien species - the Quarren and the Mon Calamari - have thrown their destiny in with the treasonous Rebellion.

Employing the 'Motti Doctrine' of more hulls against fewer numbers, the Imperial Navy recently assaulted the Dac system in order to demonstrate the overwhelming capacity of the Imperial Navy and deter any further outbreak by the Rebellion into the more civilized sectors of the galaxy.

Engaging the Rebellion with overwhelming numbers, the Imperial Navy has isolated the Rebellion, as well as their Quarren and Mon Calamari supporters in the Calamari Sector.

The recent action in the Calamari Sector has largely gone unnoticed by the Imperial citizenry, which goes about their daily lives unhampered by the vile treason of the Rebellion. Because of the brave action of the officers, crewers, and pilots of the Imperial Navy, the loyal subjects of the Emperor can sleep easy and put the rough edges of the Outer Rim out of their minds.

Moff Dzon Brennin

Moff Dzon Brennin, architect of the containment policy, has been recalled to Imperial Center on Coruscant with the personal escort of Lord Darth Vader.

The Emperor is rumored to be considering a new position for Moff Brennin, a former Imperial Intelligence officer and hero of the pacification of the Arkanis Sector.

According to Imperial Palace insiders, Moff Brennin is due to be sent to the Unknown Regions in order to establish relations with the various aliens in that uncharted segment of space, and may never be heard from again.

Rebellion Driven from Dellalt System; Blue Citatel Believed to be Destroyed

Militarized luxury liner bearing the colors of the Mon Calamari vessel 'Blue Citadel' moments before it is destroyed by the Imperial Star Destroyer 'Requital'

DELLALT SYSTEM - A rebel star cruiser and escort were destroyed in the Dellalt system, returning that system back to Imperial control. The destroyed cruiser is believed to be the fugitive Mon Calamari vessel 'Blue Citadel'.

A militarized Mon Calamari luxury liner fired on an Imperial patrol line in the Dellalt system today. The liner bore colors identical to the fugitive cruiser 'Blue Citadel', which was forced into the asteroid belt of the Dellalt system more than two months ago.

According to the command crew of the Imperial Star Destroyer 'Requital', the 'Blue Citadel' did not give up without a fight. Two Imperial vessels, a Gladiator-class star destroyer and a Raider-class corvette were both destroyed in pursuit of the 'Blue Citadel'. Their crews will be mourned, and their loyal families will be assured that their loved ones died in the noble cause of galactic peace and stability.

'Blue Citadel' was once the flagship of the nefarious Rebel Warlord Lyraeus. Thankfully, with brilliant and loyal Imperial commanders like Commodore Ma'gi'eo, the terror spread by the likes of Lyraeus may soon be near an end.

With the Dellalt system back in Imperial hand, the regional admiralty feel confident that the rebellious Calamari sector will soon be back in Imperial hands. Plans to put a decisive end to the Calamari insurgency are rumored to be underway.

Rebellion and Wanton Piracy on the Overic Griplink

The Victory-class star destroyer Redoubtable evacuates women and children from the transfer station in the Munto Codru system.

PAKUUNI SYSTEM - Imperial Navy Sector Headquarters in the Pakuuni system is reporting the successful humanitarian evacuation of a space station in the Munto Codru system, while different rebel warlords and factions jockey for power along the Overic Griplink.

Hostilities began when a pirate band of civilian-seeming small spacecraft ambushed an Imperial vanguard formation in the Reginard system. Meanwhile in the Munto Codru system, an Imperial line arrived at a transfer station in order to assist a pair of Victory-class star destroyers evacuate human children from the space station. Tragically, these star destroyers were part of a cynical ambush, as they proved to be crewed by traitors when they fired on the relief line.

It was at that time that Imperial Intelligence learned of vicious internecine warring between different Rebel factions, while Imperial lines engaged in training maneuvers in the Turkana system. The ships engaged in training maneuvers were quickly reassigned and ordered to answer the distress call at the transfer station in Munto Codru. While engaged in the emergency evacuation, the pirates reported in the Reginard system arrived at the Munto Codru transfer station. While two vessels were lost, the Victory-class Star Destroyer Redoubtable was able to evacuate the women and children aboard that station, courageously bringing refugees on board, while the armed freighters attempted to attack the Redoubtable.

It shocks the loyal conscience that these Rebels and pirates would wantonly attack a humanitarian relief vessel with such brutality. To great rejoicing of the evacuees, the Redoubtable was able to fulfill its mission and bring the child refugees from the Calamari Sector safe to Turkana, despite having a near encounter with the false-flag star destroyers that had attacked the previous rescue mission.

According to transponder records, the Victory-class star destroyers seen to be attacking loyal Imperial Navy forces are believed vessels lost to none other than the murderous Admiral Theia.

As the Redoubtable made the jump to hyperspace, avoiding the false-flag star destroyers, the false destroyers appeared to be under attack by Nebulon-B frigates known to be loyal to the vile Warlord Lyraeus.

Lyraeus, as bloodthirsty rebel a rebel as known to Imperial Intelligence, has proven to be so ambitious for carving out an autonomous fiefdom on the Outer Rim that his forces have more often than not attacked other rebel formations. Yet, as this battle between Rebel factions took place, the withdrawing vanguard line had returned to the Turkana system for repairs, when it was attacked by a rebel line in the Turkana system itself. The withdrawing line managed to make the jump to lightspeed, yet this unfortunately left Turkana in Rebel hands.

This occupation, while clearly a danger to the peoples of the Turkana system, their reign of terror is not imagined to last, as the Rebel units continue to fight among one another for their petty fiefdoms.

BREAKING NEWS: Rebellion Driven From Shaylin System

Previously captured image of rebel frigate Blue Majesty believed to be destroyed in the Shaylin system.

PAKUUNI SYSTEM - Imperial Navy Sector Headquarters in the Pakuuni system is reporting the defeat of the Rebellion in the Shaylin system. According to second-hand reports, Commodore Charis Naboobo - the hero of the Colundra Sector - has driven the infamous warlord Lyraeus from the neighboring system along the Overic Griplink.

Presently unconfirmed reports have the Empire in control of the Shaylin system - a strategic system along the Overic Griplink. Shaylin had been left in Rebel hands following the assault on the Turkana system two weeks ago.

Commodore Naboobo had been absent during the assault on Turkana, but has redeemed himself with the capture of the Shaylin system. Naboobo won the right to command the Imperial forces at Shaylin after a swift simulated skirmish between his battle line and that of another Imperial commander.

Precise details of the battle at Shaylin remain to be disclosed, though eye-witness reports speak of the rebel assault frigate Blue Majesty careening in front of the turbolasers of a Victory-class Star Destroyer. Another eye witness speaks of the presence of a smaller frigate of Mon Calamari design being destroyed just in time to prevent the destruction of an Imperial vessel.

HNN reporters will keep you up to date on the latest reports from the Shaylin system as details become known.

Imperial Navy Drives Towards Mon Calamari Homeworld, Seizing Turkana

Theia's fleet of Corellian corvettes attempting to attack a civilian convoy in the Shaylin system.

TURKANA SYSTEM - The Imperial Navy struck a strong blow for galactic peace and stability today, destroying the Rebel presence in the Turkana system.

The Imperial Navy made a powerful advance towards the Calamari sector today. In the Turkana system, the vanguard battle line encountered stiff resistance from the forces of the abominable warlord Lyraeus. These were driven to retreat back to the Shaylin system. There, rebel privateers commanded by the infamous Admiral Theia attempted to attack a civilian convoy evacuating innocent civilians, but were halted by another Imperial attack line.

Admiral Theia is a ruthless war criminal, responsible for the mass killing of human civilians aboard an orbital station in the Ryndellia system nearly seven months ago. While cynically claiming to have an interest in protecting human life, the attack vector of her flotilla of corvette was unmistakable. Unfortunately for the war criminal, the convoy she had targeted proved to be an Imperial attack line commanded by none other than Admiral Screed.

Having routed Theia's forces, Admiral Screed pushed on towards Turkana. There he encountered the forces of the warlord Lyraeus, attempting to ensconce his assault frigates near a dangerous asteroid field. Lyraeus' bloodthirstiness proved to be a liability when his frigates were flanked by two Victory-class star destroyers under Admiral Screed's command. Lyraeus' forces quickly engaged the hyperdrive, imprudently driving deeper into territory reclaimed by the Empire.

With Admiral Screed's forces saving the forward momentum towards the Mon Calamari homeworld, Lyraeus and Theia managed to regroup at the Shaylin system. Rather than joining forces against the Empire, these two rivals for dominance within the Rebel ranks set upon eachother, as Theia's forces ambushed those belonging to Lyraeus.

Having captured the Turkana system, the Imperial Navy expects to suppress rebel activity in the Shaylin system, while moving on to Munto Codru system and ever closer to victory over the vicious and fractious Rebellion.

Rebel Forces Driven From Dellalt System

Victory-class star destroyer Corrupter pursues the rebel flagship Blue Citadel from the Dellalt system.

CALUULA SYSTEM - Imperial Navy forces returned to Caluula, having successfully driven Rebel forces from the Dellalt system. Capitalizing on the intelligence gathered the previous week, Naval Intelligence projects that the system will soon be returned to Imperial control.

The Empire scored another victory for galactic civilization today, driving the Rebel forces of the infamous warlord Lyraeus from the Dellalt system. Some Rebel ships were destroyed while the Rebel flagship was pursued from the system by the Victory-class star destroyer Corrupter and its TIE Bomber squadrons.

The Warlord Lyraeus' flagship Blue Citadel, a refurbished luxury liner infamous for its decadence and depravity as a den of gambling and casual glitterstim consumption, quickly fled the Dellalt system, while the battle still raged. Doubtlessly, its crew dined on sumptuous Mon Calamari sushi while their misguided comrades in arms died by the thousands, brought to summary justice by the courageous forces of the Imperial Navy. Before other ships could also be subjected to Imperial justice, they too fled the system, knowing that they had been abandoned by their leadership.

This Imperial victory comes a week after an Imperial reconnaissance line located the rebel fleet of the warlord Lyraues massed at the Dellalt system. The fleet had been poised for a futile attack on loyal Imperial civilians in the Caluula system, aimed at punishing these innocent subjects of the Emperor. Fortunately, these plans were thwarted due to decisive action by the recently-promoted admiral Kendal Ozzel, recently recommissioned to serve under the immediate command of Lord Darth Vader.

Meanwhile, unconfirmed reports speak of a great victory in the Eridicon system in Calamari-held space. Inspired action under the command of an Imperial commander, answering to the name Admiral Bonner, has interdicted supplies moving from the Mon Calamari homeworld to the rebel front.

With Blue Citadel having been decisively routed from the Dellalt system, the sector admiralty serving under Admiral Ren Ren Darvox projects that Blue Citadel will not be seen back on the front lines. It's crew is considered to be traumatized by the prospect of their own lives while uncaring towards those of their slain former cohorts.

The hearts of the galaxy's most stalwart journalists at the HoloNet News Network go out to the friends and family of the limited casualties suffered on the Imperial side during the battle.

HNN thanks you for your service.

Empire Gathers Valuable Intelligence on Mon Calamari Forces

Mon Calamari luxury liner turned into weapon of mass terrorism.

CALUULA SYSTEM - In several engagements in the Dellalt system, the Imperial Navy probed Rebel lines in order to discover weaknesses in the Mon Calamari militia forces.

The Empire gained valuable intelligence on Mon Calamari militia capabilities in two actions against the Rebellion in the Dellalt system yesterday. Several Imperial battle lines struck at the Mon Calamari militia forces, gaining new insights into the weaknesses of this alien race's haphazard fleet.

"The Mon Calamari have nothing but refitted luxury liners," a spokesman for Admiral Kendal Ozzel told HNN reporters. "The Imperial Navy will have nothing to fear from them once the fleet has massed and begins its drive towards the Mon Calamari home world."

Adm. Kendal Ozzel

Commodore Ozzel was the commander of the first sortie against the Rebellion. Having traveled back to Caluula aboard a hyperspace-capable escape pod in order to bring the Naval leadership as well as the loyal press (such as HNN), Ozzel was rewarded for his bravery with an on-the-spot promotion.

While some cynics have referred to Ozzel as both "clumsy and stupid", Ozzel is generally regarded as a rising force within the Navy, having developed a tactical doctrine of surprise attacks and swift action.

A profile in both courage and brilliance, Ozzel is expected to make swift promotion, possibly earning a commission at the head of Lord Vader's personal squadron of star destroyers.

Imperial Navy Liberates Caluula System, Mon Calamari Declare for Rebellion

An Imperial fleet takes control of a space station in the Caluula system

CALUULA SYSTEM - After a series of hard-won naval battles, the Empire takes control over the Caluula system. Plans for the blockade and pacification of the Calamari sector are on schedule to proceed.

After much preparation in wargames between Imperial line commanders, the Caluula system - a strategic system connecting the Calamari sector to civilized space - was liberated from Rebel control by Imperial Navy. Meanwhile, various Rebel warlords came to blows with one another over control of petty personal fiefdoms in local systems.

Primary responsibility for the victory lay with Lord Darth Vader himself, who assumed command of the operation to retake the critical system. Initially leading and flying escort for the Pakuuni sector TIE Bomber Wing, Lord Vader took command of the final battle from the bridge of the Imperial-class Star Destroyer Overlord.

Aside from Rebel fractiousness, the victory at Caluula is also said to be the result of a campaign of distraction, ordered by Lord Vader. Rebel fleet elements were lured into neighboring systems, distracting them from Caluula's defense. The Rebellion was eager to prevent Imperial Navy elements from bringing humanitarian aid to local citizens, and attempts at providing such humanitarian aid was used as an enticement to draw out the Rebel forces.

Imperial commanders were quick to add that the humanitarian aid was their primary mission, and any drawing out of Rebel units was nothing more than a side benefit.

In the final battle for Caluula, Lord Vader's ship, the Overlord led a battlegroup of Gladiator-class star destroyers and one Raider-class corvette to secure a space station near the primary hyperspace transfer point. By the time Lord Vader's battle group arrived, the station was only protected by a refurbished Calamari luxury liner refitted with turbolasers.

The presence of the refitted Calamari luxury liner is being taken as evidence that the Mon Calamari have thrown in their lot with the Rebellion. It was a development expected by Imperial strategists, but one the people's of the Calamari and Quarren homeworld will doubtlessly learn to regret.

While some of the Gladiator-class star destroyers were lost in the battle, the lives of their crews were an honorable sacrifice for the cause of returning peace and stability to the region, and they will ultimately serve the goal of liberating the Calamari sector of their marine-life oppressors of the Dac system.

Imperial Victory Along Pakuuni Drift as Rebellion Fights Among Itself

Rival rebel factions vie for control of systems along the Pakuuni drift.

PAKUUNI SYSTEM - As different rebel warlords fought for primacy along the contested systems along the Pakuuni drift, an Imperial swift attack line struck deep into the heart of Rebel-held territory, destroying the flagship of a major rebel commander.

Along the Pakuuni Drift, a hyperroute connecting the two strategic systems identified by Admiral Ren Darvox as critical for bringing the Rebellion to heel in the Calamari sector, different rebel factions fought for primacy over sundry systems in that portion of the Outer Rim.

Primary among these was a relative of the former Senator of Corellian sector, Garm Bel Iblis. The relative, believed to be a third cousin or second nephew, Shmitt Bel Iblis, defeated several rival rebel commanders to hold the key system of Caluula.

Recently returned from Coruscant, Commodore Naboobo - the hero of the Colundra Sector - took command of a swift attack line, which drove itself towards Caluula, decisively defeating one rebel band in the Mullan system, and setting another to flight in the Brigia system.

Encountering Bel Iblis the Lesser in the Caluula system proper, the forces of Commodore Naboobo managed to destroy the former's command vessel. Commodore Naboobo has withdrawn to the liberated Gbu system awaiting further orders, while probe droids search the wreckage for traces of Shmitt Bel Iblis' remains.

Meanwhile sundry rebel factions did battle for the nearby Dellalt system. Of these, a fleet of Assault Frigates commanded by the infamous Admiral Theia, once the scourge of the Farstine system, in the trailing sectors of the Outer Rim, proved to be even more bloodthirstly than her rebel rivals, among whom the warlord Lyraeus.

According to Imperial strategic analysts, this flurry of internecine conflict is typical of rebel bands as their situation becomes more desperate.

With Imperial forces determined to take Caluula and force a settlement on the Mon Calamari and Quarren of the Dac system, the Rebel cause looks to be desperate indeed.

Rebel Activity in Caluula Sector Detected: Imperial Navy Closing Breach in Blockade

Blue Majesty, flagship of the rebel warlord Lyraeus, sighted in the Caluula system

CALUULA SYSTEM - Imperial vessels have detected Rebel activity in the Caluula system. Sector and regional forces have been put on alert to close the hyperroute resupplying the wayward Calamari sector.

Imperial Navy vessels encountered rebel trafficking of illicit goods in the Caluula system several days ago. A Rebel line of two assault frigates escorted by several fighter squadrons was detected making use of an outlying space station in the system. The space station was doubtlessly a transfer point for moving spice, weapons, and alien smut through the last remaining hole in the Imperial blockade of the Calamari sector.

After an exchange of fire, and the rapid retreat of one of the assault frigates, the Imperial Recon Line, consisting of three Gladiator-class star destroyers, was able to return to the fleet to report on the sighting. Imperial Navy Attack Lines have been dispatched to hunt and interdict the rebel forces, closing any further trafficking with the Calamari homeworld.

"This was a clear victory for the forces of peace and stability," Admiral Ren Darvox told HNN. "Now that we know their trafficking vector, we can shut it down and gain full control over the Caluula system.

Admiral Darvox is commissioned with the command of the Suppression of Calamari Campaign, aiming to return the Calamari Sector to legitimate Imperial control.

The Rebel vessels in question are believed to be operating under the direction of the Rebel warlord Lyraeus. Lyraeus was recently ignominiously driven from the neighboring Pakuuni system, but appears to have reared his head in the Caluula system.

With the Pakuuni system under secure Imperial control, the Imperial Navy moves to shut down illicit traffic through the Caluula system. With Imperial control over these two bottlenecks in the galactic hyperroute system nearly complete, the embargo over the Calamari sector will move to the following phase - a continuous move towards the Dac system and the re-establishment of legitimate authority in the Calamari sector.

Meanwhile, the Rebel propaganda source, Alliance "Free" "News" ludicrously reports this as a victory for the Rebellion, demonstrating the overwhelming biased and skewed reporting done by the Rebellion's mouthpiece.

Empire Seizes Control Over Pakuuni System

Victory-class star destroyers commanding TIE/sa bombers to engage in a bombing run against Rebel vessels

PAKUUNI SYSTEM - In a number of fleet engagements, the Imperial Navy gained control over the Pakuuni system, one of two systems deemed strategically imperative for placing an embargo on the Calamari sector.

The Imperial Navy took decisive control over the Pakuuni system after encountering several flotillas of Rebel assault frigates. The first of these flotillas was destroyed by massed TIE/sa bomber craft.

Meanwhile, the Warlord Lyraeus resurfaced in the Caluula system, where his forces were detecting gathering intelligence for the Rebellion. The Rebel warlord's forces withdrew from the system, but the Caluula system is not yet determined to have been sufficiently purged of Rebel activity.

Not long after Lyraeus' forces having made the jump to lightspeed in the Caluula system, his forces were encountered in the Pakuuni system, where they were detected by two bomber lines of Victory-class star destroyers. These deployed a full wing of TIE/sa bomber craft against the Rebel warlord's forces, forcing yet another withdrawal from the system.

with the decisive capture of the Pakuuni system, the Rebellion and the Mon Calamari/Quarren are prevented from using the Overic Griplink as a trade route through replenish necessary resources. The Imperial Navy will soon also capture the Caluula system to fully choke off the Calamari sector and so force the sea-bottom dwellers of Dac to accept the enlightened administration of the Empire.

Emperor Palpatine Orders Calamari Insurrection Suppressed

Admiral Ren Darvox, commanding the Suppression of Calamari Campaign

IMPERIAL CENTER (CORUSCANT) - In response to the temerity of the Mon Calamari and the Quarren species to declare their treason against the Empire, Emperor Palpatine has ordered Admiral Ren Darvox of the Pakuuni sector to ensure that Imperial authority remains complete throughout those territories in and surrounding the Calamari sector.

Last week, the Mon Calamari and Quarren species of the Dac system made their treason against the Empire explicit with a so-called declaration of independence from the legitimate authority of the Empire.

According the the Imperial order, the denizens of the Dac system are commanded to submit to Imperial authority at once in order to gain the maximum allowable clemency from His Imperial Majesty, Emperor Palpatine. The Calamari and Quarren have declared independence, but are suspected to be in league with the Rebellion.

According to Grand Moff Ardus Kaine of Oversector Outer, "should collusion between these sea-dwelling species and the Rebellion prove to be true, then the Imperial judgement is expected to be capital rather than relatively indulgent."

Admiral Darvox is executive fleet admiral of the Pakuuni Sector Group and has been commissioned with authority over the sector fleets formerly comprising the Maldrood Oversector during the Clone War. Darvox will be directly answerable to Grand Moff Kaine.

Strategic analysts expect the first encounters to occur in the Pakuuni and Caluula systems. These systems represent choke nodes in the galactic hyperroute network. Holding these two systems prevents commercial traffic to and from the Calamari sector.

The Calamari insurrection comes not long after Captain-of-the-Line Charis Naboobo defeated the Rebel warlord Lyraeus in the nearby Colundra sector. Captain Naboobo was elevated in rank to Commodore and is expected to contribute to the suppression of the Calamari.

Empire Drives Off Rebel Warlord in Colundra Sector

Imperial skirmish lines competing for the primary right to rout the Rebellion from the Colundra sector

QUERMIA SYSTEM - In a number of fleet engagements, different units of the Imperial Navy routed the dastardly Rebellion in the out-lying Colundra sector of the Outer Rim. Different Imperial commanders were so eager to come to grips with those who seek to undermine galactic stability, that they came to blows for the honor and the Emperor's favor.

Following what is rumored to be the Emperor's direction, Grand Moff Kaine of Oversector Outer ordered the Colundra sector purged of Rebel activity. The directive promised an instant promotion for the captain of the line (the standard rank of line commanders) to be most effective in doing so. Multiple line commanders took heed of the opportunity to drive the rebels from this small corner of the Outer Rim.

The efforts to rid the Colundra sector of rebel activity began when a line of three Gladiator-class star destroyers detected a rebel presence in an asteroid field in the Kashoon system. The Gladiator line gave pursuit, but the Rebels made the jump to hyperspace before they were destroyed. Following the incident, the commander in charge of the line commed the sighting into the Sector Group headquarters.

Analysts at the Sector Group headquarters determined from transponder records that the rebel ships belonged to none other than the infamous warlord Lyraeus. Once this was determined, the sector Moff ordered all lines to search for and destroy the warlord's forces. Following the Emperor and Grand Moff's directive, the Moff declared that any captain of the line to successfully drive Lyraeus from the Colundra sector would be given an instant promotion to commodore.

Following the Moff's challenge, the line commanders of the Colundra sector - eager to prove their value to Moff, Grand Moff, and Emperor - competed vigorously to track down and destroy the Rebel warlord. In so doing, their eagerness turned to internecine hostilities. While tragic for the crewers lost in the process of such hostilities, their losses are deemed acceptable in the vigorous pursuit of the rebel insurgency.

After the first sighting of Lyraeus' forces, another Imperial line, led by two Victory-class star destroyers, encountered his terrorist band in the Kruskan system. Regrettably, by occupying a certain strategic position, the rebels were able to hold off an Imperial attack. When a second line of Gladiator-class star destroyers encountered Lyraeus' forces in another asteroid field, however, the Gladiator line was able to chase off the rebel permanently.

HNN is following up with the Colundra Sector Group to learn the precise identity of the Imperial hero who successfully drove off Lyraeus, receiving the promotion.

Unconfirmed reports suggest that the warlord Lyraeus is considering leaving the rebellion, in return for a command within the Imperial Navy, stating that his in-depth knowledge of the Rebellion and their depredations would be a valuable asset to the Empire. Loyal subjects of the Emperor are aghast at the suggestion that such a being - doubtlessly some alien from the Outer Rim - would be embraced in such a way.

Training New Recruits, Empire Maintains Supremacy Over Rebellion

Heavy Battle Line of star destroyers prior to destroying the Rebel forces

PREFSBELT IV - The Imperial Navy rejoices with the graduation of a new host of Naval Academy cadets just as news arrives of a large Rebel fleet being crushed in the Kaelta system.

The citizens of the Galactic Empire had two reasons for rejoicing yesterday. The Naval Academy at Prefsbelt IV graduated another host of cadets after they proved themselves in a mock battle against experienced naval crewers. After the final-exam exercises had completed news arrived of a crushing victory over a large rebel fleet in the Kaelta system.

According to preliminary reports, the victory in the Kaelta system consisted of the destruction of an infamous assault frigate under the command of the ill-famed warlord Lyraeus.

The warlord Lyraeus, whose species has not yet been identified, is suspected of being the same as the dread pirate Lyraeus. The Dread Pirate Lyraeus, suspected of being some form of Outer Rim alien, has terrorized law-abiding human citizens of the Outer Rim with piracy and marauding. In this later incarnation, he seeks to cut out a swathe of territory over which to rule as a merciless despot, much like other leaders of the so-called Rebel Alliance.

Thankfully, the warlord Lyraeus' latest attempt at separatist depredation has been thwarted and the Empire is not strengthened with new recruits eager to deny him any foothold (or clawhold, as the case may be) in the Outer Rim or elsewhere in the galaxy.

Imperial Navy Routs Rebellion in Koobi System

The Imperial Attack Line bringing justice and retribution back to the Koobi system.

KOOBI SYSTEM - After an attempt to gain control of the Koobi system, the Rebellion has been decidedly routed from that location by swift and decisive action by the Imperial Navy. The traitor Mon Mothma narrowly escaped arrest by Imperial authorities. Meanwhile, mine-sweeping operations are underway in order to return Koobi to civilization after a week's worth of rebel incursion.

In a series of naval skirmishes yesterday, the terrorist Rebellion has been successfully driven from the Koobi system. Many of the Rebellion's hopes for making a gruesome example of loyal citizens of the Empire were averted through swift and expert action by the Imperial Navy. The Empire's presence in superior numbers and greater moral authority were the reason for the Rebellion's decided defeat.

Rebel traitor, former Senator Mon Mothma of Chandrila

Furthermore, the Empire nearly captured a political traitor who has threw in her lot with the misguided rebel cause. The wanted criminal, Mon Mothma of Chandrila, is a former Republic senator.

The product of family nepotism, her political fortunes were reversed by the enlightened rule of Emperor Palpatine. Her own loss of personal status and influence induced her to betray the common people of the galaxy in favor of an alien-supported grab for power. Had she been captured, it might have meant the death-knell of the Rebellion. In the meanwhile, Senator Mothma remains a wanted fugitive, who will not know rest while the Imperial Security Bureau (ISB) draws breath.

Elsewhere in the system, another public enemy of the good citizens of galaxy barely escaped justice. The vile warlord Lyraeus, escaped an ambush prepared for him by the Navy, but was soon also caught out employing his reprehensible tactic of deploying space mines in civilian territory, endangering the lives of human men, women, and children with these indiscriminate weapons of mass destruction. With his activities discovered and thwarted, and with himself driven off, the Imperial Navy has commenced minesweeping operations to make the spacelanes of the Koobi system once again safe for civilian traffic.

In another naval engagement, ships from the rebel fleet reported to be carrying the fugitive senator were utterly destroyed by Recon Line consisting of two Gladiator-class star destroyers. However, forensic analysts have not found the senator's remains among the wreckage. It is believed she escaped in an escape pod, in a typical cowardly fashion. Tragically, the Recon Line responsible for this valiant destruction of rebel assets mistakenly fired upon other Imperial units. The target of this 'friendly fire' was an Attack Line, which overwhelmed the Recon Line in its own self-defense.

Separately, the Warlord Lyraeus attempted petty revenge for his losses by attacking a Patrol Line of star destroyers on the edge of system. The widows, widowers, and orphans left by the courageous crews of the lost ships will mourn their lost loved ones, and curse the cause of wanton chaos, anarchy, and alien supremacy that the Rebellion stands for.

Rebel Use of Space Mines Reprehensible Transgression of Galactic Norms and Values

Rebel space mine deployed near Nelvaan Station in the Koobi system of the Outer Rim

The galaxy responded with shock at the wanton use of space mines by the Rebellion in the Koobi system yesterday.

Space mines are considered a condemnable weapon among civilized strategic analysts, the sort that only the inhuman likes of the Rebel Alliance would stoop to deploy. Being a weapon from less civilized times, thousands of spacecraft go missing or are found destroyed due to the space mines deployed in wars long over.

In the waning days of the Old Republic, the advanced worlds of the Core attempted to enact a comprehensive space mine ban, but were thwarted by the alien worlds of the Rim, and the war-profiteering interests in the Senate. Since the enlightened rule of Emperor Palpatine, space mines have been comprehensively banned for use, aside cases of clear overriding Imperial interest for the maintenance of galactic peace and stability.

COMPNOR spokesman Agandist.

"Only a beast like Lyraeus would endanger civilian life in this fashion," a spokesman for the Commission for the Preservation of the New Order (COMPNOR) told HNN.

Mr. Prop Agandist, speaking on behalf of COMPNOR, told a press conference this morning that rebels and members of crime syndicates deploying space mines will be brought to justice and charged with crimes against humanity.

When asked by a reporter for a less loyal news outlet than HNN about the use of space mines by the Imperial Navy, Mr. Agandist justifiably scoffed:

"The Empire serves humanity, and therefore the Imperial Navy's use of space mines is not a crime against humanity is it? You silly alien."

The journalist in question is reported to have found a new vocation in the spice mines of Kessel, as journalism was clearly not his true calling.

Imperial Navy Thwarts Rebel Attempt to Mine Space Station in Koobi System

Star destroyer Formidable destroying rebel mine-laying frigate near Nelvaan Station.

KOOBI SYSTEM - A Recon Line of Gladiator-class star destroyers discovered a rebel attempt to place mines as a space station captured by the Rebellion last week. Despite acceptable losses, the Recon Line reported the finding and the Navy scrambled an Attack Line of star destroyers to thwart the heinous rebel effort to endanger civilian life in the Koobi system.

In the week following the attack on Nelvaan Station, the Imperial Navy responded cautiously in order to safeguard innocent lives that the Rebellion had put in danger during their attack on the civilian station. However, yesterday, the Imperial Navy's reconnaissance mission to the Koobi system discovered the Rebel use of space mines - a contemptible weapon of indiscriminate terror - around the civilian station. The heroic scouting vessels, despite suffering from the rebels' opening salvo, were able to raise the alarm with the fleet, which dispatched sufficient firepower to root out the mine-laying rebels.

As with the attack on the civilian station last week, the Rebellion's efforts at laying mines is inferred to be the work of the infamous rebel warlord Lyraeus.

Lyraeus' efforts to mine Nelvaan Station were partially due to the compliance of a captured member of Lyraeus' tactical staff, which gave Imperial commanders insight into the thinking of this infamous rebel warlord. The rebel prisoner has reputedly been re-educated to learn the flaws of his former way of thinking, and is now assisting the Imperial Navy in the destruction of his former leader.

Rebels Launch Surprise Attack on Nelvaan

Star destroyer Formidable evacuating Nelvaan station

KOOBI SYSTEM - The Rebellion launched a savage surprise attack on the panet Nelvaan in the Koobi system of the Savereen sector today. Only through heroic action by the Imperial Navy were most of the humans on board of the orbital station saved from the Rebels' predatory actions.

The attack came unexpected as the Koobi system lies well within the perimeter of the blockade around the Arkanis sector. The Koobi system lies off major hyperlanes such as the Corellian Run and the Triellus Trade Route.

Strategic analysts at the Naval headquarters on Christophsis explain the rebels' appearance in the Koobi system, saying the rebel war band must have used obscure hyperroutes maintained by criminal syndicates operating in the Arkanis sector.

Imperial Intelligence further suspects a local warlord, a particularly savage rebel commander called Lyraeus, to be responsible for the attack. Lyraeus is considered a rebel thug whose notoriety for brutality rivals that of the infamous Admiral Theia.

According to transponder data collected by systems operators aboard the Victory-class star destroyer Formidable, the attacking assault frigates bore the names Scars of Freedom and Orca's Pride, vessels known to be associated with the warlord Lyraeus.

The Formidable was able to rescue more than 87% of those embarked aboard the orbital station around Nelvaan. This humanitarian operation was able to succeed owing to the bravery of the commander and crew of another Victory-class star destroyer, the Redoubt. All hands aboard the Redoubt were lost as it shielded the Formidable while evacuation operations were ongoing, and as the Formidable made for the lightspeed jump zone in order to bring the civilians to safety.

As the Formidable escaped, her comm crew intercepted communication between the Scars of Freedom and the Orca's Pride. According to the intercepted communications, the rebels planned to impale the remaining civilians aboard the station and display their corpses on the hulls of Lyraeus' warships as a grotesque trophy of this day's savage attack.

One thing is clear: the warlord Lyraeus intends to have his infamy overshadow that of his rebel rival Theia, as is considered customary among the rebel savages of the Outer Rim.
