Hostilities Arkanis Savareen Escalate Further

Victory-class star destroyer Formidable (Savareen) firing on star destroyers of the Arkanis Sector Group

KHUBEAIE SYSTEM - Hostilities between the Imperial units of the Arkanis Sector Group and the Savareen Blockade Mission escalated today in the Khubeaie system. A Heavy Attack Line dispatched to investigate the attack on its fighter/bomber units was challenged by an attack line belonging to the Arkanis Sector Group. The Savareen Heavy Attack Line proved to be victorious.

This escalation of hostilities comes in the wake of a fighter skirmish that also happened in the Khubeaie system yesterday. Elite fighters belonging to the Arkanis Sector Group attacked a formation of fighters and bombers. The different sides are engaged in a jurisdictional and effectiveness dispute.

While the Khubeaie system lies well within the Arkanis sector, units of the Savareen Blockade mission have been operating on the borders of the Arkanis sector for months, destroying rebels and syndicate criminals along the Corellian Run, in systems such as Sirpar and Gorno.

Independent analysts believe that the hostilities are implicitly encouraged by Imperial Center to determine which strategic and tactical approach to the rebel and criminal threats will prove to be the superior one to put an end to the criminal insurrection in the Arkanis sector. Independent analysts are also disloyal to the Empire, because they are independent, and should not be taken heed of.

Meanwhile, another fighter skirmish took place in the nearby Heffrin system, a 10-hour coreward hyperspace jump from the Khubeaie system. A standard fighter-bomber formation deployed by the Vindicator-class star destroyer Pernicious one of the special-operations units of the Arkanis Sector Group. This time, however, the TIE/n and TIE/sa pilots were ready for the 'friendly' fire, and the special operations unit was destroyed.

Jurisdictional Dispute in Rimward Arkanis Sector

TIE/sa bomber craft on a bombing run against rebel targets

KHUBEAIE SYSTEM - Regular starfighter formations, operating under the jurisdiction of the Savareen blockade mission, executed another number of successful sorties against the rebellious criminal syndicates of the Arkanis sector. An elite fighter unit assigned to the Arkanis Sector Group attacked one regular starfighter-bomber formation to enforce jurisdictional exclusivity within the Arkanis sector proper.

The successful sorties included the destruction of clearly rebel formation consisting of A- and B-wing fighters. They also included the destruction of a formation of Y-wing heavy fighter-bombers sporting the colors of both the criminal syndicates and the Rebellion. This particular type of formation was reported on nearly two weeks ago, and supported overwhelming evidence that the criminal syndicates and the Rebellion essentially operate as one.

Location of the Khubeaie system in the rimward end of the Arkanis sector

With this regularization of rebel/criminal formations, naval strategists on Imperial Center argue for deploying standard order-of-battle formations, while Moff Brennin continues to hold that special-operations units, consisting of elite pilots in specialized spacecraft are indispensable for returning law and order to the Arkanis sector.

This strategic finding is, however, disputed by the Moff of the Arkanis Sector, Dzon Brennin. Brennin is a former Imperial Intelligence officer who facors an irregular approach to these irregular threats. A spokesman for Moff Brennin said the Arkanis Sector Group would begin enforcing its jurisdiction by attacking the regular units crossing into the Arkanis sector.

Yesterday, elite Arkanis Sector Group forces attacked a flight TIE/ln fighters escorting an element of TIE/sa bombers operating from the Vindicator-class heavy cruiser Pernicious. The Pernicious is assigned to the Savareen Blockade, mission carried out by a multi-sector task force headquartered on Christophsis in the Savareen sector.

The attack happened in the Khubeaie system, a system located inside the boundaries of the Arkanis sector, rather than along the border areas of the Corellian Run, where the Pernicious would have had joint jurisdiction with Arkanis sector units.

Thus far neither Grand Moff Kaine, nor the Emperor Himself, have declared a solution to the jurisdictional dispute. More casualties from friendly fire are expected to occur.

Imperial Navy Routs Rebellion in Koobi System

The Imperial Attack Line bringing justice and retribution back to the Koobi system.

KOOBI SYSTEM - After an attempt to gain control of the Koobi system, the Rebellion has been decidedly routed from that location by swift and decisive action by the Imperial Navy. The traitor Mon Mothma narrowly escaped arrest by Imperial authorities. Meanwhile, mine-sweeping operations are underway in order to return Koobi to civilization after a week's worth of rebel incursion.

In a series of naval skirmishes yesterday, the terrorist Rebellion has been successfully driven from the Koobi system. Many of the Rebellion's hopes for making a gruesome example of loyal citizens of the Empire were averted through swift and expert action by the Imperial Navy. The Empire's presence in superior numbers and greater moral authority were the reason for the Rebellion's decided defeat.

Rebel traitor, former Senator Mon Mothma of Chandrila

Furthermore, the Empire nearly captured a political traitor who has threw in her lot with the misguided rebel cause. The wanted criminal, Mon Mothma of Chandrila, is a former Republic senator.

The product of family nepotism, her political fortunes were reversed by the enlightened rule of Emperor Palpatine. Her own loss of personal status and influence induced her to betray the common people of the galaxy in favor of an alien-supported grab for power. Had she been captured, it might have meant the death-knell of the Rebellion. In the meanwhile, Senator Mothma remains a wanted fugitive, who will not know rest while the Imperial Security Bureau (ISB) draws breath.

Elsewhere in the system, another public enemy of the good citizens of galaxy barely escaped justice. The vile warlord Lyraeus, escaped an ambush prepared for him by the Navy, but was soon also caught out employing his reprehensible tactic of deploying space mines in civilian territory, endangering the lives of human men, women, and children with these indiscriminate weapons of mass destruction. With his activities discovered and thwarted, and with himself driven off, the Imperial Navy has commenced minesweeping operations to make the spacelanes of the Koobi system once again safe for civilian traffic.

In another naval engagement, ships from the rebel fleet reported to be carrying the fugitive senator were utterly destroyed by Recon Line consisting of two Gladiator-class star destroyers. However, forensic analysts have not found the senator's remains among the wreckage. It is believed she escaped in an escape pod, in a typical cowardly fashion. Tragically, the Recon Line responsible for this valiant destruction of rebel assets mistakenly fired upon other Imperial units. The target of this 'friendly fire' was an Attack Line, which overwhelmed the Recon Line in its own self-defense.

Separately, the Warlord Lyraeus attempted petty revenge for his losses by attacking a Patrol Line of star destroyers on the edge of system. The widows, widowers, and orphans left by the courageous crews of the lost ships will mourn their lost loved ones, and curse the cause of wanton chaos, anarchy, and alien supremacy that the Rebellion stands for.

Imperial Navy Thwarts Rebel Attempt to Mine Space Station in Koobi System

Star destroyer Formidable destroying rebel mine-laying frigate near Nelvaan Station.

KOOBI SYSTEM - A Recon Line of Gladiator-class star destroyers discovered a rebel attempt to place mines as a space station captured by the Rebellion last week. Despite acceptable losses, the Recon Line reported the finding and the Navy scrambled an Attack Line of star destroyers to thwart the heinous rebel effort to endanger civilian life in the Koobi system.

In the week following the attack on Nelvaan Station, the Imperial Navy responded cautiously in order to safeguard innocent lives that the Rebellion had put in danger during their attack on the civilian station. However, yesterday, the Imperial Navy's reconnaissance mission to the Koobi system discovered the Rebel use of space mines - a contemptible weapon of indiscriminate terror - around the civilian station. The heroic scouting vessels, despite suffering from the rebels' opening salvo, were able to raise the alarm with the fleet, which dispatched sufficient firepower to root out the mine-laying rebels.

As with the attack on the civilian station last week, the Rebellion's efforts at laying mines is inferred to be the work of the infamous rebel warlord Lyraeus.

Lyraeus' efforts to mine Nelvaan Station were partially due to the compliance of a captured member of Lyraeus' tactical staff, which gave Imperial commanders insight into the thinking of this infamous rebel warlord. The rebel prisoner has reputedly been re-educated to learn the flaws of his former way of thinking, and is now assisting the Imperial Navy in the destruction of his former leader.

Rebels Launch Surprise Attack on Nelvaan

Star destroyer Formidable evacuating Nelvaan station

KOOBI SYSTEM - The Rebellion launched a savage surprise attack on the panet Nelvaan in the Koobi system of the Savereen sector today. Only through heroic action by the Imperial Navy were most of the humans on board of the orbital station saved from the Rebels' predatory actions.

The attack came unexpected as the Koobi system lies well within the perimeter of the blockade around the Arkanis sector. The Koobi system lies off major hyperlanes such as the Corellian Run and the Triellus Trade Route.

Strategic analysts at the Naval headquarters on Christophsis explain the rebels' appearance in the Koobi system, saying the rebel war band must have used obscure hyperroutes maintained by criminal syndicates operating in the Arkanis sector.

Location of the Koobi system, home star system of the planet Nelvaan

Imperial Intelligence further suspects a local warlord, a particularly savage rebel commander called Lyraeus, to be responsible for the attack. Lyraeus is considered a rebel thug whose notoriety for brutality rivals that of the infamous Admiral Theia.

According to transponder data collected by systems operators aboard the Victory-class star destroyer Formidable, the attacking assault frigates bore the names Scars of Freedom and Orca's Pride, vessels known to be associated with the warlord Lyraeus.

The Formidable was able to rescue more than 87% of those embarked aboard the orbital station around Nelvaan. This humanitarian operation was able to succeed owing to the bravery of the commander and crew of another Victory-class star destroyer, the Redoubt. All hands aboard the Redoubt were lost as it shielded the Formidable while evacuation operations were ongoing, and as the Formidable made for the lightspeed jump zone in order to bring the civilians to safety.

As the Formidable escaped, her comm crew intercepted communication between the Scars of Freedom and the Orca's Pride. According to the intercepted communications, the rebels planned to impale the remaining civilians aboard the station and display their corpses on the hulls of Lyraeus' warships as a grotesque trophy of this day's savage attack.

One thing is clear: the warlord Lyraeus intends to have his infamy overshadow that of his rebel rival Theia, as is considered customary among the rebel savages of the Outer Rim.

Imperial Navy Remains Ruler of the Hyperlanes

Imperial vessels hold the line against a feeble Rebel attempt to run blockade.

DALCHON SYSTEM - The Imperial Navy beat back two more attempts by the Rebellion to break through the blockade of the Arkanis sector earlier today. The line held at the Dalchon system along the Corellian Run, the Arkanis sector remains isolated from the remainder of the galaxy and from galactic civilization.

Hostilities began with a rebel probe consisting of one corvette and escort frigate testing Imperial resolve in a hyperspace jump zone in the Dalchon system. The Dalchon system, being the main system along the Corellian Run between the Arkanis sector and the Ryloth system, is considered a strategic location necessary to maintain the blockade.

During the encounter, the lone Imperial star destroyer, a Victory II-class star destroyer named the Stalwart, destroyed the corvette and bombarded the frigate with turbolaser fire. A number of TIE fighter squadrons were sacrificed, but Rebel fighters were also brought to final Imperial justice.

With the corvette destroyed and the frigate damaged, the Rebellion - mistakenly sensing a weakness in the blockade - called in reinforcements consisting of a number of assault frigates and a large number of fighter squadrons.

Fortunately, the Imperial Navy also had reinforcements standing by within the system. These were able to intercept the Rebel spearhead.

The Stalwart was lost to a cowardly attack by rebel snubfighters. Thankfully, swift action by the Gladiator-class star destroyer Demolisher unleashed the Emperor's vengeance upon one of the assault frigates and the escort frigate that had first tested the Imperial line.

Suffering heavy losses, the terrorist insurgents were forced to withdraw back into the far reaches of the Outer Rim with the remainder of their forces. Doubtlessly, alien engineers will repair the damaged vessels, allowing them to test the resolve of the Imperial Navy in the future.

In the aftermath of the attack, tactical analysts aboard the Demolisher assessed considerable expertise on the part of the Rebel commander, but the newly-minted commodore of the Imperial forces (name redacted to protect the commodore's kin from Rebel reprisals) proved to have fresh training from the Prefsbelt IV naval academy that still proves to be the best training ground in the galaxy.

More Gladiator-class Star Destroyers to be Deployed to Outer Rim

A flotilla of Gladiator-class star destroyers, consisting of the Veermok, Blixus, and the Horranth.

KUAT SYSTEM - With Gladiator-class star destroyers seeing increased use on the front lines, such as in the Savareen Blockade, the Imperial Navy has ordered more to be deployed to the Outer Rim.

While the Victory-class star destroyer remains a strong element in maintaining control of loyal worlds, the Gladiator-class has been used to seek out and destroy rebel formations operating in the outskirts of the galaxy. The Gladiator-class' greater maneuverability and offensive firepower, especially when combined with specialized engine techs, and assault concussion missiles, has proven to be particularly effective in those seek and destroy missions.

While initially designed by Rendili StarDrive, that shipyard has been deemed a security risk by the Imperial Security Bureau (ISB), as increasing numbers of Rendili vesses, such as the Assault Frigate Mark II, have been identified in Rebel naval formations. The Imperial Navy had thus requisitioned the Gladiator-class' manufacture by Kuat Drive Yards. The second assemblage of Gladiators will be delivered today, ready for deployment to the Outer Rim.

A number of the Gladiators already deployed to the trailing sectors of the Outer Rim bear titles suited to their aggressive combat roles. The Veermok bears the name of a ferocious species of clawed and fanged primates found on worlds such as Eriadu and Naboo. The Blixus is named for a carnivorous cephalopods from an unknown world, while the Horranth carries the title for a horned reptilian carnivore native to the Deep Core planet Tython.

While these vessels have the mission to bring peace and stability to the lawless parts of the galaxy, it is clear that the aggressive approach embodied by the Gladiator-class is necessary to bring the intractable Rebellion to heel.

Armed Dispute Over Order-of-Battle in Arkanis Sector

A flight of TIE fighters

GORNO SYSTEM - Separate Imperial units clashed on the borders of the Arkanis sector today, after a failure to bring an escorted criminal spice trader to justice. The jurisdictional dispute caused a rift between Moff Dzon Brennin of the Arkanis sector and the admiralty directing the blockade centered on the Savareen sector.

During a routine patrol in the Gorno system along the Corellian Run, an escorted criminal freighter was ordered to halt and submit to a seizure and search of its cargo today. The freighter refused and its heavily armed escort attacked the two flights of TIE fighters ordering it to surrender.

In an effort to interdict criminal and rebel supply lines, the admiralty governing the blockade of the Arkanis sector has ordered all traffic in and out of the Arkanis Sector to be seized and searched. In this effort, the normal Imperial order of battle has been observed, with the regular use of flights of TIE Fighters in formations of four fighters.

Imperial Navy units within the Arkanis sector, meanwhile, have observed an altered order of battle as directed by Moff Dzon Brennin, who has dictated unorthodox methods of quashing rebel and criminal activity in the sector. The standard for the Arkanis sector has been the use of VT-49 Decimator patrol craft operating in conjunction with elite TIE Interceptors or spacecraft of a covert and classified nature.

After the forces operating under the direction of the Savareen admiralty failed in their attempt to apprehend the criminal elements, forces under Moff Brennin were dispatched to show the Savereen units their place. In their effort to enforce their jurisdiction, the Arkanis Sector Group forces fired upon the Savareen units, which returned fire, ultimately leading to the destruction of the Arkanis units.

The authorities of Oversector Outer, governing both the Arkanis sector and the Savareen Admiralty, have dispatched orders to determine areas of influence and maintain distance between the different Imperial Navy forces.

Imperial Navy Exacts Justice Upon Fugitive Corvette

Rebel corvette Slippery Steve in its death throes, under direct fire by the short-range turbolasers of the Demolisher

SVIVREN SYSTEM - The Imperial Navy has located and destroyed a rebel corvette with the impudent title 'Slippery Steve'. Rebels claim, erroneously, to have sacrificed that ship's sister ship, the 'Slippery Sue', but loyal citizens and Imperial Navy analysts know this to be false Rebel propaganda.

The corvette in question, operating alongside a Mark IIB Assault Frigate, was positively identified as the rebel units attempted to ambush an Imperial recon line. The Imperial line was active reconnoitering the Svivren system at the end of the Five Veils Route when it encountered the ambush.

The Assault Frigate was destroyed, but the crews aboard the two Gladiator-class star destroyers - Veermok and Demolisher - were particularly overjoyed to have destroyed this particularly offensive corvette.

"Assault frigates are a serious menace," Senior Captain Mikael Hasselstein of the Veermok told HNN, "but we are especially pleased to be rid of this obnoxious affront to the Empire."

The Slippery Steve was involved with two skirmishes in recent weeks. The first, occurred during a rebel ambush in the Bajic system. While the Empire was victorious, the Slippery Steve managed to elude destruction or capture. The same was true two weeks ago when the same corvette was encountered alongside other rebel vessels in the Vohai system.

Elsewhere, a couple of rebel ships were encountered by a Victory-class star destroyer in the Bajic system. The star destroyer managed to hold off the rebels, while destroying their fighter escort. The star destroyer's captain had recently been promoted from his previous status as a fighter wing commander operating in the Arkanis sector. The rebels in question were operating behind Imperial lines but have conclusively been driven off.

Farstine Station Liberated; Theia Attacks Other Rebel Faction

GSD Veermok on attack vector towards rebel escort frigate occupying Farstine Station

FARSTINE SYSTEM - After a pitched battle, the rebel forces temporarily occupying Farstine Station have been forced to retreat back to the Ryndellia system. Admiral Theia was attacked by other rebels prior to liberation of Farstine Station

Acting quickly in response to the infamous Admiral Theia's assault on the Farstine Station system yesterday, the Imperial navy has liberated the system from Theia's genocidal tendencies.

Reports from eyewitnesses aboard the station speak of a group of Admiral Theia's forces leaving the Farstine Station system to attack another rebel faction prior to the liberators' arrival. According to strategic analysts debriefing loyal civilians aboard the station, Admiral Theia engaged in an assault on a rival faction using a hyperspace pincer movement, but that her forces were beaten back by the other rebels.

Internecine warring between rebel factions provides further proof that the nihilist Rebellion cannot be trusted with creating a zone of security in the Outer Rim or elsewhere.

Imperial Navy Evacuates Farstine Station Ahead of Rebel Attack

VSD Despot evacuating Farstine Station prior to attack

FARSTINE SYSTEM - The rebel warlady Admiral Theia attacked an Imperial space station in the Farstine Station system today. Rather than risking the lives and wellbeing of those loyal citizens aboard the space station, the VSD Despot evacuated the station, protecting the citizens from Theia's infamous depredations

Theia's attack, with her usual brutality and aggressiveness, comes two weeks after a raid on the Farstine Station system, four weeks after her previous attempt to attack the station, and five weeks after she led a sneak attack on the peaceful station in the Ryndellia system.

Theia, an unusually brutal terrorist, is said to be responsible for the mass killings reported to have happened in the Ryndellia system after her takeover. Faced with the choice of evacuation and fighting an enemy with possible reinforcements underway, the Ryndelian Sector Group decided on the policy with the fewest casualties, as the most humane option.

With the Imperial Navy actively engaged further rimward, where their exploits have recently been reported, the rebels under Theia have posed the Navy with tremendous difficulty, coming in their rear flank from the Mid Rim.

In response to the challenge posed by this vicious and unprovoked action, the admiralty of Oversector Outer has determined that more resources will be deployed to the Outer Rim to combat this threat. It vowed that the likes of Admiral Theia will be crushed with more aggressive action.

Rogue Faction Attacking Imperial Navy Forces Along Llanic Spice Run

Capital-scale Proximity Mine deployed along the Llanic Spice Run in the Spice Terminus system

SPICE TERMINUS SYSTEM - Imperial ships can under fire today from star destroyers in the Outer Rim, after a similar engagement yesterday. The attacking vessels are suspected to be part of a rogue faction with access to Imperial Navy matériel, possibly a wayward regional governor.

The rogue faction appears to be laying proximity mines near the hyperspace jump zone of the Spice Terminus system, possibly in an attempt to reroute trade - contraband and otherwise - in the regional sectors. Such action suggests an attempt to create a local fiefdom, contrary to the regular order of the Imperial regime.

Following successful engagements along the Five Veils Route, which saw the destruction and routing of rebel ships, recon lines consisting of two Gladiator II-class star destroyers encountered rogue flotillas, both consisting of an older Victory I-class star destroyers and a Gladiator-class star destroyer. In both engagements, the loyal star destroyers destroyed the attacking Victory class, and routed the Gladiator-class star destroyer.

Sectors near Spice Terminus

Local moffs - suspects in attempting separatism from the Empire - have been called to account for themselves to the Imperial Security Bureau (ISB), operating under the authority of Oversector Outer, based on Eriandu in the Seswenna sector.

Sector moffs possibly engaged in such actions are those of sector surrounding the Reuss and Spice Terminus terminus systems, where the attacks on the recon lines took place. These include the Parmic, Thuris and Torch Nebula sectors, but may also be of the Sujimis, Portmoak, and Cor'ric sectors.

Local moffs are expected to account for themselves post-haste, and the transgressor discovered and put to justice. Should the Imperial Navy come under further attacks, the admiralty in charge of the blockade around the Arkanis sector fears Lord Vader will have to take personal charge of quashing of such treason.

Since the disbanding of the Imperial Senate, the many sectors that make up the Empire have come under the direct rule of regional governors - 'moffs' being the ancient title - in the interest of administrative efficiency. While the Emperor directly selects and appoints moffs to their position, on the Outer Rim alien influences are suspected of testing the loyalties of otherwise fine human beings. HNN analysts, including Benn Gleck, suggest that alien influence, and the distance from the civilizing core worlds, is responsible for undermining the loyal spirit of even the most carefully selected and honorable officers in the Emperor's administrative service.

Aggressive Action Against Rebel Insurgency in Quence Sector

A recon line of Gladiator II-class star destroyers, led by the GSD Veermok

SUARBI SYSTEM - The Imperial Navy operating in the Quence sector has taken the naval fight to the rebel insurgency, hunting rebel frigates deep in the Outer Rim. Acting aggressively, a recon line of Gladiator II-class star destroyers, led by the GSD Veermok destroyed a corvette, a number of rebel fighter squadrons, and pushed the rebel frigates to retreat.

In two separate engagements in the Suarbi system, towards the end of the Five Veils Route in the Quence sector, the Imperial Navy proved victorious in driving the Rebels from this far-flung system. Many Rebel fighter squadrons died in attempts to shield the frigates from attack, and an insurgent corvette was also destroyed.

Suarbi and Reuss systems

Recon lines generally contain two to four ships, operating in pairs or individually. Reconnaissance ships are usually light cruisers modified for even greater sublight speed. Their mission is to probe enemy-held territory.

The recon line led by the GSD Veermok was tasked to root our the insurgent presence in the Suarbi system. Having driven the rebels from the system, Imperial Intelligence believes the rebel fleet to be bottled up the neighboring Svivren system of the Svivreni sector.

In a separate engagement in the Reuss system, a Victory-class star destroyers turned its turbolasers on a different recon line. The Recon line has been engaged in a similar mission along the Llanic Spice Run. The unprovoked attack is suspected to be the work of a rebel mutiny aboard the vessel in question.

Questions would have been asked, had the star destroyer in question survived. A separate Gladiator-class star destroyer accompanied the destroyed vessel, but was able to escape destruction. The Imperial Security Bureau (ISB) shall investigate how such Imperial Navy craft could be turned on their own.

Aggressive Recon Line Makes Contact With the Insurgent Enemy

A recon line consisting of the Gladiator-class star destroyers Demolisher (front left) and Insidious (rear right)

VOHAI SYSTEM - Pursuant to the Savareen Admiralty's direction, the Imperial Navy bloodied the nose of the Rebellion in the Vohai and Elshandruu Pica systems today. However, a particularly wanted corvette remained at large and will be the object of a continued hunt.

Striking out from the Bajic system, the location of a rebel incursion last week, the Imperial Navy struck an unsuspecting rebel formation in the Vohai system. The Vohai system, being the next rimward system along the Five Veils Route, was suspected of being a rebel mustering point.

As suspected, a rebel formation was detected and challenged near an asteroid field. Acting swiftly, the Imperial recon line scattered the rebel units and destroyed all escorting fighter squadrons, with the rebel vessels escaping along the hyperroute in a rimward direction.

The recon line, consisting of the Insidious and Demolisher, both Gladiator-class star destroyers, pursued the rebel vessels - an infamous CR-90 corvette and an escort frigate to the neighboring Elshandruu Pica system in the Quence sector. There the escort frigate was destroyed, at the tragic loss of one of the star destroyers. The Corvette, however remained at large.

The corvette in question was identified by the uncouth title Slippery Steve, a vessel which had earlier vexed the Imperial Navy in the Bajic system.

The recon line's mission was pursuant to the more aggressive naval posture as mandated by the Savereen admiralty yesterday. The admiralty had decided to respond vigorously to rebel naval elements testing the Imperial blockade of the Arkanis sector with repeated attempts to move contraband in and out of that benighted sector.

Admiralty Declares the Hunt for the Rebellion to Become More Aggressive

Members of the Imperial Admiralty in Charge of the Savareen Blockade. Admiral Conan Antonio Motti (R), Colonel Wulff Yularen (L-seated), and Admiral Terrinald Screed (L-standing)

LLANIC SYSTEM - In the wake of the attacks on Farstine Station, as well as the recent loss of the Ryndellia system, the Admiralty in charge of the Savareen Blockade has declared the Savareen operation shall move into a more aggressive phase.

Among the leading admirals, Admiral Conan Antonio Motti, Vice Admiral Terrinald Screed, and Colonel Wulff Yularen of the Imperial Security Bureau.

Admiral Motti, a close associate of Grand Moff Wilhuff Tarkin himself, spoke to HNN saying: "We cannot allow the atrocities that happened at Ryndellia to stand. We shall strike back against the Rebellion, and snuff it out once and for all."

Admiral Screed of the Naval Intelligence Agency did not speak during the sit-down with the press, but is a known advocate of more aggressive measures. It is said that Admiral Screed served with the traitor, Jan Dodonna, a known naval commander in the Rebellion, during the Clone War.

ISB Colonel Wulff Yularen, also a Clone War naval veteran and former admiral, is also at hand to provide intelligence and political advice to the Savareen admiralty.

The precise details of the admiralty's strategy to crush the rebellion were kept classified, but Col. Yularen did reveal that "tactical persistence" would be a key guiding principle. Also, Motti revealed that actions were already prepared and that the rebellion would find itself in dire straights before the daily cycle was over.

Citizens of the Trailing Sectors of the Outer Rim and the Arkanis Sector are said to be hopeful with such a decisive leadership team strategizing to rid this benighted region of the galaxy of the insurgent scourge that has been a plague on local peace and stability for months.

Rebels Mount Lighting Raid on Farstine Station

Rebel fighter bombing run on the VSD Corrupter

FARSTINE SYSTEM - The rebel warlady Admiral Theia attacked an Imperial space station in the Farstine sector today. Her forces attacked swiftly, using a precise in-bound hyperspace vector to attack the heavy attack line that the Imperial Navy had guarding the station. The battle proved indecisive and the rebels withdrew, presumably back to the Ryndellia system.

Attempting to make further gains along the Triellus Trade Route, Admiral Theia stuck out from her temporary lair in the Ryndellia system today, attacking the Farstine System. With an Imperial heavy attack line guarding the sector, her efforts were met by a close defeat. After the destruction of her main attack vessel, which treacherously used a hyperspace trick to come in behind the attack line, her forces decided to withdraw rather than face heavy casualties.

Theia's attack comes two weeks after her previous attempt, and three weeks after she led a sneak attack on the peaceful station in the Ryndellia system. Thus far, her campaign - while presently stalled due to the courageous stalwartness of the Imperial Navy - represents the rebellion's only serious attempt to compromise the blockade of the Arkanis sector headquartered the Savareen sector.

The surprising aspect of this battle was the size of Admiral Theia's fleet. Previously, her fleet had included only small vessels and few, if any, snubfighters. Her forces deployed in this battle numbers a single assault frigate (destroyed) and two escort frigates, as many corvettes, and a dozen fighter-bomber squadrons. It is due to the foresight of the Imperial Navy that a heavy attack line consisting of four star destroyers (two of the Victory-class and two of the Gladiator-class, that the Farstine system remains safely in Imperial hands. Had the system fallen, the inhabitants would likely have been massacred as the inhabitants of the Ryndellia space station are reputed to have been.

Imperial Navy Once Again Holds Off Rebel Incursion Along Five Veils Route

Rebel corvette wanted in conjunction with terrorism and insurrection.

BAJIC SYSTEM - An Imperial patrol was ambushed by rebel terrorist in the Bajic system today. The ambush failed, but the star Destroyer in pursuit of the fleeing rebels has been declared missing. One rebel ship was destroyed, but a second remains at large.

The ambush was made upon the VSD Seizure, a Victory I-class star destroyer today. The rebellion's ambush near a repair station in the Bajic system resulted in the destruction of a number of fighter craft. Giving chase to the retreating rebel ships, the Seizure has failed to make contact with the Bajic Sector Group admiralty in charge of the local effort towards the Savereen blockade.

Two relief ships, both of the Gladiator II-class star destroyer type, encountered the rebel vessels. They destroyed a Nebulon-B escort frigate. A CR90a-class corvette remains at large as it made the jump to hyperspace before it could be apprehended or destroyed. The corvette, titled 'Slippery Steve' has had its title and transponder code recorded with the Imperial Navy, and will be apprehended or destroyed on sight. All loyal Imperial citizens will notify Imperial authority with any leads.

Thankfully, despite the Rebel attempts at spreading their nihilism in the Outer Rim, the Bajic system remains in Imperial hands. The Gladiators will search for the VSD Seizure and hopefully find her and her crew inconvenienced by a faulty comm system. HNN's and our readers' prayers are with her crew.

The Bajic System is a system along the Five Veils Route, one of the Outer Rim's notorious thoroughfares for contraband. In addition to enacting an embargo on the lawless Arkanis Sector, the Savareen blockade interdicts smuggled goods (spice, weapons, and human slaves) boud for the Core and alien worlds.

Imperial Patrol in Bahalian System Encounters Larger Rebel Vessel

The Rebel Assault Frigate Gallant Haven sighted in the Bahalian system.

BAHALIAN SYSTEM - An Imperial patrol was attacked by a Rebel vessel of un- precedented size yesterday. According to Imperial Navy analysis, the use of a single larger vessel signifies a strategic shift by the Rebellion.

According to Naval Intelligence, the ship in question responded to the transponder title Gallant Haven, and indicated as an Assault Frigate Mark II B, manufactured by Rendilli StarDrive. Rendilli StarDrive, headquartered in the eponymous Rendili system in the Core, has declined to comment, but is reportedly answering questions from the Imperial Security Bureau (ISB), as to how their vessels found their way into Rebel hands.

The Rebel attack is being hailed as a victory for the Empire, despite losses of three squadrons of TIE fighters. Intelligence gained and an elite Rebel fighter squadron having been destroyed is deemed to be worth the losses. Furthermore, towards the end of the battle, it was the rebel assault frigate which withdrew from the Bahalian system before Imperial reinforcements arrived.

"TIE Fighter pilots are the most dedicated and loyal servants of the Empire, braving death in the Emperor's service every day," COMPNOR spokesman Prop Agandist told HNN. "However, their sacrifices are expected and the Empire has ever more loyal citizens volunteering to stand up for galactic stability, whereas the Rebellion only has a small and finite number of people so traitorous to be willing to fill their ranks. If our casualties were ten of our to one of theirs we would be justified in calling it a victory!"

The captain of the Imperial vessel, a Victory II-class star destroyer, with ample starfighter and bomber support, reports having hung back from engagement to allow the gathering of intelligence rather than immediate destruction of the enemy vessel. This captain is also currently in consultation with the ISB regarding his decision, and his failure to make full use of his fighter and bomber complement. His disciplinary demise is expected with the arrival of Lord Vader. That discipline will provide new ways to motivate Imperial Navy captains to be more aggressive and more skillful with their fighter and bomber complements in the future.

Rebellion Fails in Plot to Trap Imperial Patrol

Imperial patrol in the Farstine system.

FARSTINE SYSTEM - An Imperial patrol was attacked by two rebel ships in the Farstine system today. One corvette seemignly acted as a blockade runner, while a frigate came up behind the patrol while exiting hyperspace. Fortunately, the rebel attempt utterly failed to do more than cause the death of some courageous TIE fighter pilots.

Naval analysis infers that the rebels were themselves caught by surprise by the addition of a Gladiator-class star destroyer to the standard patrol consisting of a Victory-class star destroyer. In the Farstine skirmish, the Gladiator-class quickly pounced on the blockade runner, using its superior speed to intercept the corvette.

The rebel attack is seen to be a part of the force commanded by a particularly vicious rebel warlord, called Admiral Theia. Last week her ships captured a space station in the Ryndellia system, reportedly executing all loyal Imperial citizens.

Theia is reputed to be aiming to take and hold territory, rather than the usual rebel (and criminal) attempts to ferry illicit goods and weaponry to the Arkanis sector.

Rest assured good and loyal citizens of the Empire. The Imperial Navy shall soon make short work of this traitor, and Ryndellia will be liberated from the terrorists.

Admiral Screed to Soon Arrive in Savareen Sector

Admiral Terrinald Screed

CHRISTOPHSIS - The recently reported imminent reinforcements to the Savareen and neighboring sectors also coincides with the arrival of a new naval tactical doctrine. Traveling with the reinforcements is one Admiral Terrinald Screed, a new naval tactical thinker.

Thus far, the Imperial Navy has been inspired by the Tarkin naval doctrine (not to be confused with the political doctrine of the late Grand Moff Wilhuff Tarkin, which aimed to more efficiently police unstable regions in the galaxy). The Tarkin naval doctrine, called "Tarkin parkin'" by some uncouth rebels, involves a defensive stance, which lures the rebellion into range without exposing the rear flank to the enemy.

Admiral Screed promises a more aggressive approach to naval engagements, as his specialty is for attack rather than defense.

Screed, once an officer of the Judicial Department and a loyal associate of the Emperor Himself, now serves as an Admiral in the Imperial Navy. His specialty is as a commander for lines of Gladiator-class star destroyers. These ships, armed with light turbolaser batteries and point-defense lasers for anti-fighter combat, are an ideal expression of Screed's pro-active combative nature.

Together with Screed's aggressive stance, the Rebellion will soon feel the Empire's just revenge for their depredations. The first place where the Rebellion can expect to suffer the Emperor's vengeance is in the Ryndellia system, where they recently launched a surprise attack on a space station inhabited by innocent civilians. With no word from the space station, the human inhabitants are feared to have been massacred by the rebels.
