Rebellion Dealt Series of Crushing Defeats in Bajic System

Capital-scale Proximity Mine employed in the Savareen Blockade around the Arkanis Sector

BAJIC SYSTEM - The Empire fought of a rebel attack on the Bajic system today. The attack was possibly in reprisal to a recent attempt to break through the Five Veils Route, one of the access routes to the beleaguered Arkanis sector.

The first sign of the attack happened as several rebel vessels attempted to navigate through a minefield, securing the outer reaches of the system. The blockade runners were, however, intercepted by a vigilant Victory-class star destroyer. One rebel corvette was destroyed and the others forced to retreat.

The second rebel attempt was more serious, as the traitors to galactic civilization attacked a space station in the Bajic system. Fortunately, the same star destroyer was on hand to protect the station. Tragically, the star destroyer was lost with all hands, but the station remained free from falling to the rebels. A single squadron of TIE fighters remained, protecting the station's personnel from capture and the probability of being executed by the rebellion.

The star destroyer's identity is being withheld to protect the crew's loved ones, and to inform them of the crew's loss at a more appropriate time with greater care than a news release. Suffice to report, the crew gave their lives in the cause of galactic security and stability.

The same station suffered a second wave of attacks by the rebellion, but fortunately reinforcements had arrived from Vergesso to adequately protect the station. The attacking fleet consisted of three vessels - a frigate and two corvettes. The previous star destroyer was avenged by their complete destruction.

The attacks on the Bajic system happened concurrently with another attempt to break through the blockade at the Andalasa system along the Llanic Spice Run. Details to follow.
