Invincible Imperial Fleet in orbit around Coruscant
IMPERIAL CENTER (CORUSCANT) - With numerous losses in the Savareen sector and elsewhere in the galaxy, the Rebellion is said to be in despair, possibly close to surrender. Many individual rebels are expressing frustration with their inability to injure the greatest military force ever to control the space lanes.
On illicit galactic newsnets - those channels that have yet escaped justice at the hands if the Imperial Security Bureau, but are not read by loyal citizens of the Empire - rebels report being unable to destroy the mighty Imperial navy and its Victory-class star destroyers.
One rebel was reported as saying that their vessels were "garbage". Another said he was likely to give up on the rebellion altogether.
"Despite being traitors, they are absolutely correct," the spokesman for the Commission for the Preservation of the New order (COMPNOR), Mr. Prop Agandist, told HNN. "The rebels do not stand a chance against the firepower of our star destroyers."
"They were foolish to begin their insurgency to begin with."
"If they think their plight is hopeless now, then they will be beyond distraught when the navy brings its Imperial-class star destroyer to bear."
Available for only a short comment, Lord Darth Vader declared to HNN: "It is useless to resist."
